Probably 80% of this board said the same thing before the Wisconsin opener a few years ago. So, there’s that.

Yes, but in our defense Les had promised to open up the offense.

Where would be a great place to stay to catch a Dodgers game, hit Disneyland, and do the touristy things (Downtown, Santa Monica Pier)

Wait and see approach.

If Newsom hasn’t rammed his junk too far into the mashed potatoes by then, we will book last minute-ish. Easy to do from DFW to LA.

Neither. Try Pasadena or Burbank.

Crownbull,

I have been to Cali several times and I always stay in a town called Hermosa Beach. I love it there. It’s about 40 minutes from Pasadena.

Checking the Dodgers schedule though, you’ll need to go earlier than the football game because they are on the road.
Wednesday, Sept 1 they have the Braves at home.

The city of San Diego has already figured out a way around the EO on capacity limits for the US Open by banning large busses for transportation to the course. I'm sure Pasadena will have plenty of time to ruin the atmosphere for this game too.

Right now, I’m planning on going. I’ve been looking forward to this game since it was first put on the schedule.

Thanks. Yes I already checked. Think we gonna try to fly out Wednesday to catch the Dodgers. Catch an Angels game on Thur or Fri. Drive down to San Diego on Sunday to catch a Padres game. Then fly out Monday from SD.

Sweet. Are you hitting every MLB park?
I’ve got to go to a few over the years. But knocking out 3 in a week will be really cool.

Will be a great trip but I will never go back to the miserable Rose Bowl stadium.

I’d like to eventually. I’ve been to 10 so far but none of those 3. Figured this would be a great chance to hit a few with my son.

Would downtown be a good place to stay for the game?

Looks like it is decent distance to rose bowl

My wife’s family lives out there so we are planning on going. Don’t have to book a room and flights aren't bad.

After a day of golf and the Gulf at Seaside....will be watching from the beach house. No way in hell California gets a penny from me. Can the game be moved to Las Vegas or is it too late?
