We were one of 3 teams that played ranked teams Saturday, hopefully these next essay games will shape up our young players.

These 'cupcake' games are equivalent to preseason games. Even Miles said it's a good opportunity to work on certain things.

Only if they let the QBs throw the ball early in the series. If we come out in the power I 75% of the time then these 2 games will be a waste.

This. In the past, it seems like all we have done in these types of games is rack up the rushing the yards.

ULM beat Wake Forest last week and SHSU has put up 86 points in two games. And I don't care who the opponents were, they can put the ball in the end zone.

I am a little worried that our offense will revert to what we saw in the first half vs building on what we saw in the 2nd half.

Our o-line and defense are going to need some rest going into the middle of our schedule, but Les Miles normally plays these games vanilla and close, meaning the starters stay in there the whole game.

Guess you started watching in the middle of the third quarter.

Every targeted pass to a WR was intermediate or downfield greater than 10 yards...they were targeted 13/21 times for 62% of the passes...additionally, Smith was targeted once at over 10 yards. That is 14/21 = 66%...not looking at the RB targets or the other two TE targets. I am still right.

About 70% is the original claim...66% rounds up to 70%. Go back to class.
