How is Randall going to get the ball?

He may prove to be a better tackler than Clayton.

Time will tell.

Well when you have someone as good as Josh Reed to go alongside of you as a true frosh , it significantly helps your play because of his double teams

I don't know that there's ever been a better "football player" at LSU than Clayton.

I am a huge fan of Michael Clayton, but this guy is the best LSU football player

Is there really any way to answer this question before seeing RR play against college players?

I have to agree with HotCarl...Clayton was one of the best all-around players to ever play at LSU. He was a great college receiver, he started a legacy of WRs being important as blockers at LSU, he was a great special teams player, and he was the ultimate team player. When interviewed, he said all the right things, and he lead by example on the field.

Regarding the Bowe vs. Clayton comparison...Clayton does not have the physical gifts that make Bowe a very good (potentially great) NFL receiver, but he was a more complete college receiver (and a much more complete player because of his STs prowess). Bowe dropped too many balls to be considered a better receiver than Clayton, and he never had the leadership factor that helped LSU re-emerge as a national power.

If RR turns out to be a comparable player to MC, he will be a great player for LSU.

Guess ya'll never saw Wendell Davis play. Everyone in the stadium knew he was getting the ball and on one could cover him.

I've seen film......he was able to get open but in open space Josh was more deadly.

Can you imagine what J Reed would have been capable of had he been 6'2" or 6'3"? He would have been even more sick.

Marcus Randall?

I'd take Clayton. I remember seeing him at CLA and knew that kid was going to be special.

not sure about that JR was a RB first and he would use his frame to bump a DB with his hips to create space. The dude was a beast.

grew up and played ball with both of them. Randall is more athletic. But he couldnt touch his older brother at glen oaks. Clayton was a beast too.. Its too close to call

i think we're talking about reuben randle?

entering as a freshman, RR has more potential.

Clayton turned out be a mid 1st round pick, so RR will have a lot to prove to be in the same league as M.Clayton coming out of college.

It's hard to compare Bowe to Clayton. Two different styles of play/receivers.

That's like saying who's better: Rickey Henderson or Albert Pujols.
