I was commuting to New Roads from BR in 1988 or 1989 and remember listening on AM to some guy named Nasty. Maybe Norman Nasty? He referred to callers as flea bags. Buddy Songy started as a regular caller and/or host on his show, then eventually started his own show.

I think you nailed it Goose. Nasty was the first exclusive sports talk show I can remember and you are right on Buddy.

It was Norman Nasty, Buddy was a constant caller that became a fill in host when Nasty was out.

I remember Hanny and Broadhead had a show and Ott had a show going back to early/mid-90s. Dont remember before that
