I'm assuming its Bain with a very short leash. Poche threw 79 pitches so I don't think he could come back on 3 days rest. Any other options?

If it's TCU, I bet Mainieri starts Person.

Was about to say that same thing. Easily could be Person against TCU. Don't assume Bain.

Should be Bain, if I had to guess. Lange saved our bullpen today, so we have lots of relief options. Poche should start on Friday if we win Thursday.

Or maybe Devall. Could roll the dice with a very short leash. Then ride with Bain.

Where's the asshat that thinks Lange can pitch 3 more times in the CWS?

Bain is Thurs pretty assuredly. Fri is up in the air depending on Poche. But Poche should pitch either Fri or Sat. If Dunn/PM think he's ready, you pitch him FRI so he can come back on WED if needed in CG rubber match.

Devall? No.

He failed to get out of an inning Sunday.

I'd be hesitant to start Bain, but not sure what else we can do. Not too many options. He's been pretty lousy latley, but maybe the long layoff will do him some good.

Yes, I know. But you can just gamble on a perfect start by him. As in, pull him if he struggles with even the first two batters. All bets are off here.

That said, I would give Bain the ball first. Hope for the best.

Wouldn't be completely terrible, but I think he goes Bain.
