I hope LSU wins out, but no extension.

If my choice is either get a new coach and he wins a lot, or keep Les and he wins a lot?

I'd rather win with Les. I like the guy, the players like the guy, he's entertaining. I want him to win.

I'm all for him staying until he retires if he wins out as in wins the championship. Les Miles can't be dumb enough to continue to run the offense he has the last few years. I personally think he has had a bad run of QB's in trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. You can't take a dual threat QB and try and force him into a pro style pocket passer. Now I admit he should have changed his offensive style to fit his QB or found a coordinator that could but he's not getting rid of his buddy.

Why another extension? Why not evaluate in a couple years if he makes it that long?

Winning out would mean a national championship so yeah Les should get a raise and an extension

I wouldnt care. This would be another NC. I could take another 5 years of typical Les ball for this year.

Knowing what will happen in the November stretch.....I'd rather get my hopes up on the fact that I'm hearing chatter about an early retirement buyout. Much like Texas & Mac Brown.

He's already inked until 2019.

And if he wins the National Championship, Les automatically gets a raise IIRC.

Any "fan" that doesn't want to win out will either be somebody who just hates the man and is too stubborn to say they were proved wrong or somebody who is too dumb to realize the grass isn't always greener.

Les is 63 in two months. His contract goes for three more years. There is no way he should get a guaranteed contract extension. If he wins out we should give him a contract extension that is cancellable, with no penalties, after the current one runs out. This will help with recruiting.

All you have to do is look at the Vols to see what could happen at Lsu. Win out - get back on track and we all know that Les is more !

Honestly, even if we won the rest of our games, I doubt Les would actually receive an extension.

No extension. Keep him hungry. He doesn't do well when he is fat and happy.
