I think anything Les than a two loss season and he's gone...if he wins out including the SEC Championship, he deserves to stay.....no contract extension though

Les Miles to do list:
1. Lift up trophies-plural
2. Retire

Joe Aleva to do list:
1. Fire Les
OR
2. Celebrate Les winning / retiring and hire Herman

I hope LSU wins out. The side effect of that is he gets a contract extension. So ipso facto, yes.

Recently? Yes, please tell us how stupid we are not to recognize all the late season success he's enjoyed in the last few years. What's that conference record since 2011?

To answer OP's question: you can't be serious. The man is 62 and is already guaranteed 3 more seasons. He's in the twilight of his career and while I'm pleased with things looking A LITTLE different the past 2 weeks, it's hardly a strong indicator that we've definitely turned the corner. We've won home games against Jacksonville State and Mississippi State and you think that's good enough to earn an extension?

If LSU wins out, let him keep his job and finish out his contract, then close the book on the Miles era and let the man retire a winner.

Another thread that belongs towards the end of the season. Who else hopes threads will be more about LSU football?

I don't care who the coach is as long as we are winning.

Who else hopes these threads are more about LSU's diverse offense, and LSU's defense winning and sacking QB's?

If my choice is either get a new coach and he wins a lot, or keep Les and he wins a lot?

I'd rather win with Les. I like the guy, the players like the guy, he's entertaining. I want him to win.

Honestly, even if we won the rest of our games, I doubt Les would actually receive an extension.

If we win the rest of our games that would mean a national championship

No way he doesn't get an extension even if it's just 2 years

This won't happen. Les is a bad coach who admittedly has plenty of wins against mediocre to poor opponents.

Since 1-1-12
15-10 sec play
8-8 against the top 25
2-3 in bowl games
Finishing 14, 14, NR, 17

I'm hoping for one of those to happen. Does that count?

I personally think he has had a bad run of QB's in trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

And whose fault is that? Maybe recruit only quarterbacks that fit the offense you are running and the rest of the players you are recruiting to run that offense.

You can't wait until the end of the season to make a full assessment? For all we know, he can jump back to his stubborn game plan the next few games or the rest of the season. Take off your p-n-g glasses and stop drinking that kool-aid, guy.
