I would like to say I agree with you, but I don't fully trust Foster at 2B yet, and I guess PM isn't sold on Byrd or something yet...

Right on. His Defense is great, but his bat worries me...

Why does defense suddenly not matter?

Zardon has 1 bad game and everyone freaks out about moving him. PM pulls the switch. Hale can handle 3B fine and it may work out. But the perception of people around here is hilarious sometimes. KRob is by far our best 2B, especially if Hale is now locked in at 3B. Everyone else is hitting great. What's wrong with sacrificing 3 hits ever 50 ABs for a really good defensive guy? And a guy who has a decent OBP% regardless of his average. He would bat 9th. His job is to turn the lineup over anyway.

I would roll with

Fraley LF
Laird RF
Bregman SS
Chinea DH
Hale 3B
Stevenson CF
Scivique C
Zardon 1B
Foster or Robertson 2B

Fraley and Foster are interchangeable if you want to go for the matchup.

Start Foster at 2B. Why not? See if he can handle it as long as he's hitting.

Am I the only one that thinks KRob is the odd man out for the rest of the season? He had a great game over the weekend, but too many other guys are getting hot right now.

Even if they give this Foster at 2nd experiment some more practice Kramer would still probably come in after Foster's at bat around the 6-8th inning as a defensive replacement.

I think for now I'd keep Kramer at 2nd and just sacrifice one of Fraley, Foster, Chinea in the lineup depending on pitching matchups.

I personally think we will need more offense, rather than defense this year. It's not like Foster or Byrd is that much of a drop off at 2B. I agree that KRob is the best defensive 2B we have, but I just think Fosters bat out weighs KRob's defense. If that makes sense...

Im not sure anyone can say this with any conviction yet. We havent even seen Foster try to turn two yet.

It's like we have 5, 4 hole hitters in this lineup

Well Byrd didn't have an issue turning two during a clutch situation on Sunday. I personally don't think it's a big drop off from Robertson to Byrd. The jury is still out on Foster, but I'm willing to run that risk at this point. Let's be honest, Robertson leaves a lot to be desired at the plate. Yea he had a solid game against Baylor, but it could also have been a little extra motivation for him seeing how they were recruiting him hard and mom coaches at Baylor.

Personally? If Robertson was at 3rd, we probably aren't having this conversation, because 3rd is a hot corner compared to 2nd.

Are we sure this is the case? I haven't seen enough of Byrd or Foster at 2B to really say that KRob is much better there.

Same here. I think Byrd can be just as good defensively.

Agreed. Although I believe Byrd will be better than Foster.

How much does Chinea outweigh KRob. That should be your question.

Let me know when one of them can do this:

They probably both can if the situation arises. Also, a lot changes in a year...

WHen literally everyone else on the team is hitting .300, I don't think Foster's bat is the better option over KRob's D.

So he should be in the outfield. Not at 2B. I agree.
