Gonsoulin is making great contact and he has a pretty ball but if he can't get it accurate we're screwed because I do not believe Culp doesn't have it.

I've been watching these kickers all fall and Gamble is the only one who can reach the end zone. No clue how Culp got the job last week but I don't think we ever see anyone other than Gamble going forward. As for field goals it'll be week to week like the Gaudet days. You'll always wonder who the kicker is each game until one has a good game.

Neither. Start from scratch and find some female soccer player who can actually kick it.

Then I have to believe that the plan for BYU was to go with hangtime and coverage to try and pin them inside the 25, and O wasn't completely honest in his post game comments about the plan was to kick it out the endzone.

I think we may have Culp from 40 yards in. As mentioned Gamble didn't even kick in HS on XPs and FGs. I wouldn't be surprised if the two punters got a whack at it in practice. O didn't sound happy after the game with either kicker. Culp was short on one and the next one barely made it over the crossbar. Gonso might get another shot. Heck, if someone on campus thinks they can make a long one, it would probably be a good time to show up to practice Monday!

Mo's tryout was never a joke, but if she went out this year with a decent showing they probably would keep her on.

This could possibly become a huge problem in a tight game

Both kickers are at 50%. Gonsulin is 2/4 with misses at 34 and 40 and makes at 23 & 29. Culp has a make at 45 and a miss at 47 (dead center but short).

Let me get this straight, 2 of the kickers are on scholarship, which are Culp and Gamble? Neither have the leg strength to do their job appropriately.

A priority for 2018 for Coach O needs to be two competent kickers. From their performance so far, the two now on the team couldn't make a lower classification high school team at this point. One can't hit from any distance while the other apparently doesn't have the enough leg strength for over 40 yard. If that's the case, neither should even be out there. They obviously impressed somebody sometime.

Don't give up on Jack Gonsaulin so easily. He will develop.

Heck, I endured much misery back in the days of Ronnie Lewis and Wade Richey, when going 4/15 for an entire season was considered "normal". We prayed that a Gonsaulin type would come along.

Whoever saw Gamble and offered a scholarship shouldn't be paid to coach anywhere. If he could only kickoff deep you don't offer him and then bring him and not let him kick off deep. Makes no sense.
