You don't know what he would do with a defense like LSU's to supplement the offense.

I could actually see Leach having almost 50% balance with LSU's personnel

p-man, youre a top tier poster, but norm chow would be a horrendous hire

his success at USC was due to their elite talent, NOT him

while us being ranked 113 in passing is abysmal, UCLA is ranked 117...and Chow is the UCLA OC

Miles could be successful at LSU for a long time if he replaces Crowton and the gimmicky spread offense with more of a pro-style offense that Miles wants to run and becomes more of a CEO style head coach. He needs to bring in people he can trust. I would love for him to "get the band back together" by bringing back Monken and Henson.

The offense needs to return to more of a Pro-Style system.
1) Steve Logan (good QB coach, rumors were going around that he was the front-runner if he replaced Crowton last year)
2) Todd Monken (IMO, the best position coach LSU has had in a long time. Miles trusts him. Was heavily involved in all of Miles successful offenses in the past. Was heavily, heavily involved in the success of the offense at the end of the 2006 season. Miles should have promoted him instead of hiring Crowton.)
3) Mark Whipple
4) Dirk Koetter
5) Clint Conque
6) Greg Knapp
7) Rob Chudzinski

While he is at it, Miles needs to replace the OL coach.
1) Josh Henson (bring back the right-hand-man, clock manager)
2) Kevin Mawae
3) Pete Mangurian
4) Ben Wilkerson (promote him)

So you don't think he'd be able to coach up our talent?

Get a top notch QB to come here and Chow makes the offense tick

From wikipedia

n 23 seasons as an offensive coordinator, Chow coached 8 of the top 14 career passing-efficiency leaders, and 13 quarterbacks who rank among the top 30 in NCAA history for single-season passing yardage. His list of pupils include: Steve Young; Philip Rivers; Robbie Bosco; and, Heisman Trophy winners Ty Detmer, Carson Palmer, and Matt Leinart.

I don't know what the situation is at UCLA but the guy can coach offense

Not leach,. I admit I don't know who but it would have to be some one that meshed with Les so that he could have more control. Also, get a guy that is proven to bring along Qb's. It's not like Les will stop a guy from coaching the Qb's up.

If you get a guy that can really teach Qb's then we wont have these issues with clock and 4th down stuff b/c the QB has some control on the field. Hell, Flynn faked being hurt to stop the clock b/c he was in control and saw the big picture.

they had a weird run of QB injury issues. like spread across a few yrs. this yr, they've pretty much abandoned the pass and have gone to a pistol-based option offense.

Gary's contract is until 2016. He is making 2.5 mil annually. I guess we would have buy his contract as well as the rest of Miles.

This. I dont know why Les just didnt hand the reigns over to him in the first place. From what I hear he called that sugar bowl against notre dame. Les will trust him and wouldnt have the problem of conflicting philosohpies because Monken had been with Les forever.

Anyone who will bring some sort of any identity with the offense not what appears to be random plays and personnel groupings.

Harbaugh at Stanford has a good offense. There are plenty out there capable.

Chow also coached Philip Rivers.

Talent dictates success 90% of the time. He's struggling at UCLA because they lack talent.

Which makes Crowton's inability to do shite here even more remarkable.

Steve Logan is my guy.

-Coached Jeff Blake, David Garrard and Matt Ryan.
-Former HC that probably won't get another shot at it (lasted pretty successful years).
-Worked with Miles for a year at Colorado.
-He's Tampa Bay's RBs coach, so he is likely available.
