I like Rob Childress because of his SEC knowledge as well as his handling of pitchers at A&M as well as Nebraska when Dave van Horn was the HC.

Do you think you got your first choice as HC? Not a leading question at all. I really wonder what that search looked like behind the scenes. Maybe nobody knows that answer.

And what do yall think JJ will be able to pull as asst coaches?

He is definitely my choice but like others have said would he leave.MLB for SEC? Salary wise he’s probably making in the $300k range so it would probably take $400k to get him and who knows maybe he misses teaching young guys developing over the cold, hard professionals (fingers crossed).

Bobby Applegate out of Navy would be a great hire. He is an outstanding recruiter; especially on the left coast.
