Then lets see the stats without that extra game please

QB A 207/328 (63.1%) 2988 yards 9.1 YA 24 TDs 7 ints
QB B 192/296 (64.9%) 3082 yards 10.4 YA 22 TDs 8 ints

QB A does have the added bonus of rushing though. My thought is that QB with more passing, say 360-380 attempts, would have been seen as a 1st round draft pick. Our problem last year was that our defense couldn't get teams off the field.

Mett was 16/23 (69.9%) 241 yards 10.5 YA, 1 TD against Bama. Problem was that the OL gave up, and the defense couldn't get us the ball back.

On the road against UGA Mett completed 62% of his passes for 372 yards and 3 TDs, but Beckham fumbling the punt and the defense not stopping UGA all game, was our downfall.

Of course Mett had a bad day against Ole Miss, but so did Sims against Ole Miss and Arkansas. With a defense, we beat both Bama and UGA last year and possibly Ole Miss as well (gave up 500+ yards).

well i'd imagine our defense this year is better than bama's, but that's why wins being team stats weren't included

i just honestly didn't realize how good sims was this year until i made a post in another thread, on another board. i just copied/pasted that here. our NFL QB/WR/WR/RB combo in our glory year competed with Bama's offense in a stop-gap rebuilding year, WITH A NEW OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR RUNNING THE SHOW. that simply blew my mind.

Les took the air out of the ball starting with the Florida game. After the offense looked nearly unstoppable at UGA and Miss St, we went back to 3 yds and a cloud of dust.

QB B is Mett.

I'm guessing QB A is Marriotta or Sims

You're making me sad when you put it in that perspective....

Need more data. This is an absurd question? What do you mean by "better"?

LSU had a new offensive coordinator running the show last season, did they not?

I think the system opens up when you have a QB capable. Which is why I think Harris should and will play.

Marriotta?
No. It's Sims vs. Mett

Mariota has 52 tds to 2 Int so far this year! Pretty close to Jennings

Sims has the Alabama record for passing yards in a single season. Sims is a 5th year senior who had better passing numbers than Mett in high school. Cooper is a top 10 pick in the mold of a Julio Jones and AJ Green. He had 1000 yards and 11 TDs as a TRUE FRESHMAN. His down year was 734 yards and 4 TDs (he was injured parts of the year). He also has two other senior WRs as starters. I have no idea how in the hell people thought their offense was in a stop-gap year. They brought back 8 of their top 10 pass catchers, and 4 of their top five. Their defense was the one with the problems in the secondary.

Sims is having a record setting year for an Alabama QB. Mett's season last year equaled that in a 12 game season. Both Hill and Magee were statically better than Yeldon and Henry are this year.

Alabama 533 carries 13 games LSU 523 carries
Alabama 415 attempts 13 games LSU 326 attempts

89 more pass attempts 10 more carries equals 99 more plays. They've ran 7.6 more plays per game this year than we ran last year.

We also had a new coordinator when we did ours. I mean do you not get it?

Look, I know you have a bad case of penis envy, but just let it go. Move on to the next season or the bowl game, or baseball or basketball.

I didnt realize they both played for the same playcallers, and against the same teams, making this statistical comparison totally valid. I'm so dumb.

And OBJ is already a top 5 NFL wide receiver.

that is his point. He thinks Mett is better than a converted running back QB, but SIMS system is so much better then ours it allows him to have better numbers. Bama in their rebuilding year, the year they are 106 of 120 team for returning starters, their offense is as productive as our offense who now has 5 NFL starters. It drives me to pound Natty lights on a sunday

QBB: 3082 yards (64.9% @ 10.4 ypa), 22/8

9.16 ypa, 64.7% completion rate, 1 TD per 14 att, 1 INT per 51 att

vs

10.4 ypa, 64.9% completion rate, 1 TD per 13 att, 1 INT over 37 att

Probably give me A. Both QBs are keeping me on schedule every time they pass and their accuracy and scoring rates are virtually identical, so the difference maker is that A turns it over less.

I also saw the rushing stats which obviously help A.

EDIT: Holy shite, A is Sims and B is Mett? Unreal

i couldnt quite tell, seemed to me like he might just be slobbering on sims. Its really not hard to play qb for bama. It really shouldn't be that hard for ours.

jesus christ. its gotten to the point where we are jealous of another program for having lane kiffencalling plays. what the fricking frick has happened to the universe

Such a dumbass record. First sec team to have 3,000 yard Qb, two wrs with 1000 yards,

Yep. Because while of course, it means your offense had a pretty decent year, it also means that you basically only threw to two guys.

7th offense in SEC and not as good as a Blake Sims offense

Truly a dismal result if anyone really thinks about it. We had two WRs who were going to make an IMMEDIATE impact in the NFL, a hell of a RB who made an impact in the NFL and a QB who is playing in the NFL. And FINISHED frickING 7TH IN THE SEC!!!!!
