To me , the team has been peaking. Qb most definitely.

Since bama we have played only 1 quality opponent, hard to say that they are peaking, because the scores are about the same from the beginning of the year till we met bama and from wku till now.

Don't interject facts into these discussions. You will either get harangued for not participating in the lovefest, a screen shot analysis or a tabular presentation of carefully selected data to debunk your post and debase you personally. To say that the scores of our game are comparable before and after Alabama will be met with derision and disdain no matter what the facts are.

Until we play Alabama again, it is impossible to realistically answer the OP about improvement. The fact that Georgia had a competitive game with Ole Miss is the single thing telling me this weekend is not a worry. Arkansas did too, and we see how that worked out. Ole Miss is one of the worst SEC teams I have seen in person in awhile (granted they were mostly mailing it in after being De-Nutted)

Kickoffs by James Hairston

This, though I think we gave up a long return in the WKU game. However, the whole team, except Blue, was flat that game.

I think our RB's are really kicking it into high gear. Ford and Hillard are running fantastic, Ware is still a beast, and Magee(sp?) and Blue were running really well. Assuming they're ready to go our depth is amazing here.

As for QB, whether JL could have beaten Bama is irrelevant. JJ has been made the starter so we've got to live with it. After the Arky game, I am much more comfortable with that. JJ played very well that game. Hopefully he can carry that momentum into the UGA and NC games.

I think we've really improved in pass rush, QB play, and the emergence of Ron Brooks as a consistent playmaker. Mingo has really responded 2 the extra snaps he's been getting. Also to beat Bama again we need to keep seeing JJ improving. That defense will get to the QB, you need an athletic QB to offset that pressure or an A Luck type of player ; someone who has bigtime ability and makes proper fast decisions.

offensive line play is the key to beating alabama again.
Our Rbs and defense and sp teams are already good enough.
Oline play allows qb time and rb space to run.

I wouldn't say Quarterback in general. But I will say that JJ looks more comfortable playing the position now than he did when we played Bama.

You Drama Queens can't let it go.

Hold the fricking phone. The OP's question was which positions do you think have improved. Someone suggested Quarterback, at which point YOU felt the need to disagree with him...for SOME reason.

Who's unable to let the debate go?

By far biggest improvement from early season/Bamma:

RBs picking up the blitz and WRs holding better blocks, specifically Wright, Boone, and Shepard.

OUR RBs have to be among the best blockers at position in the country not only SEC.If you watch plays down field they are always locked up with DBs.On JJs td run RS pancaked DB.

Lets leave it alone already about the QBs,

Who really knows If Lee could have won the Alabama game. He is being judged on a couple bad throws in the first quarter.. JJ played terrible in the first and third quarter last week so lets just give it up...

They both Suck!
You're a miserable pile of shite.

1. You want people to drop the subject because you don't like what they are saying.

2. I don't know if Lee could have won the Bama game. However, no sane coach is going to leave a QB in when that QB throws two bad picks in a row, and there is an equal or better alternative on the bench.

3. Both QBs have been playing very well this season. Jefferson might not have many snaps, but the snaps he has taken look very good compared to the rest of the FBS QBs.

4. You Suck!

Ive come to the conclusion that it is your goal in life to defend qb play, most notably JJ's qb play.

Dont look now, but you didnt even bother to answer the op's question.. your side kick GeauxTigerTM didnt either, but then calls someone elese out on not doing so.

At this point of the game this all become comical to me.
Carry on.

It's not just my goal. It's my job. I get paid for each post that defends QB play.

Dude, the QB play this year has been pretty damn strong. Those are the facts. Do you disagree? If so, please present facts that support your position.

Did it bother you that I supported Lee concerning the recent allegations of academic trouble? Did you want to be his sole hero?

You jelly?

My post is on topic. I did not hijack the thread. Some moron says that both LSU QBs suck. His post clearly states that the position has not improved. That is the topic of this thread. I addressed his post.

You complain when I post plain facts that support Jefferson. You complain when I post facts that support Lee.

For something that has become comical to you, you sure do complain a lot.

I don't have to ask you to carry on; I know that you will.

QB, RB, kick coverage

And even secondary as crazy as that may sound....the addition/emergence of Ron Brooks adds another dimension. Basically 2 honey badgers on the field at once. Yikes!

I wouldn't call a top 15 pass effeciency and top 15 scoring offense sucky QB play. They arn't Andrew Luck but we don't need Andrew Luck on this team to win a Championship.

All we need is game managers who minimize mistakes and pilot the offense in multiple scoring drives per game, which is what they have been doing all year.

The RBs looks great, secondary actually seems to have shown more depth, and there is a running threat from the QB.

I swear I'm gonna have your babies when science gets that shite all figured out!!

ETA: I'd say QB (in a way different than just straight comparisons. JJ will be needed to beat Bama and he has gotten the reps needed to be fully integrated into the offense. He was limited the first time) and RB (Hilliard is "trusted" now and he is another big bruiser to help Ware on those inside rushes. Option / Ford will be aided by that)

Center and tight end.

No offense to T-Bob, who is a team leader and I really like his work ethic, but he's not nearly the center Lonergan is. That was a huge injury that we were able to weather thanks to Hebert, but I'm more comfortable with him coming off the bench to play guard for a few snaps.

Also, DeAngelo Peterson's season long disappearing act seems to have ended. Also, Chase Clement is making catches he simply wasn't making earlier in the season. It's a huge upgrade.

And if we're just looking at the Alabama game and nothing else, QB is a massive upgrade, as Lee played terribly against Bama and JJ played simply not to lose. We would actually run an offense in a rematch designed to possibly score points.

People have already mentioned Hilliard, and the kick-offs. I'd add that TM7 seems to have reclaimed his Mojo.
