Which draft eligible juniors have yet to declare for draft?

The big one is Maason Smith. Anybody know/hear anything on that? Diggs transferring, Wingo declared, Daniels, Nabers, BTJ declared. Am I missing anyone or is it just Smith now?

No shot Maason is going anywhere. If he does, he got bad advice

Incorrect. His circle is pushing him to go pro just fyi. So it is very likely that he does go pro.

Mason Smith is the one with the most room to improve his draft stock by staying.

Not gonna get anywhere close to the deal he wants leaving as a junior unless I’m missing something.

I still think he could become a monster, and if he declares somebody will pick him up — but it won’t be early.

He is behind on development & regardless of who is to blame, he has a lot of college film at this point …not much worth watching.

His safest play is stick around to see who we hire to coach DL or transfer if he believes he can earn a starting spot at another major program. If he goes to the NFL now — I genuinely believe he loses a lot of money on signing & potentially even turns out a flop.

I’m not even being a homer or wishcasting that he stick around — it’s a mistake for him to declare this year, whether he stays with LSU or not.

This confirmed or just assumed?

He’s a projected 3rd rounder right now. That’s a $1 mill signing bonus plus 4 year $1 mill/yr contract.

Yeah, IF he comes back and plays lights out he COULD be a first rounder. But it’s hard to pass up $1mill guaranteed plus at minimum $750k per year, especially when he won’t be making near that much at LSU.

Coming back would be a risk. High reward potential but if he looks like he did this year again then he drops even further. With P&G glasses I think he should come back, but I would understand if he didn’t.

I thought NfL projected day 1, day 2 or day 3. He would have to light up the combine or he would be a late round pick.

Many guys that are projected third round fall to 5th, 6th or 7th.

I think you’re dead wrong there. If there’s a chance Smith goes pro, I think they will absolutely pay him in that neighborhood to keep him for another season.

He’s a top 100 prospect. People fall or rise all the time for a myriad of reasons.

You can think what you want, but the fact is we are not paying him 1.75 mill to play here for 1 year

TIFWIW

But Maason was on the plane with Perk that went to COMO to go pick up Blake Baker, seems to me like he is sticking around
