I mentioned this on the scoreboard but will do so again. To put last night's shutout into an historical perspective it marked just the third time in 43 years that BYU has been shut out.

528 games and only twice previously has anyone shutout this school's football team.

Many historical perspectives in BYU game, fewest yards gained, shut out, and not being able to cross the 50 yard line.

LSU was unable to cross the 50 yard line twice, in both cases the opp. was Bama. The tables are about to get turned.

The only way to beat Bama is to have a great passing game. Their Defense won't let you run against them.

Unpredictability is how you do it

Bama. More pressure and that causes more mistakes. Way different teams though. BYU hits quick routes and FSU is more vertical.

LSU looked great and relied on far more contributors. That will help build leadership capacity, trust, and responsibility. Will help us in the long run.

Bama has the edge though. Really different defenses also

Why don't you post on another thread, like the bullshite discussion on whether Aranada leaves next year.

LSU's 2017 defense appears better than Bama's, sorry if that disturbs your love affair with the Tide.

and then watching Gilmore actually holding up on his hit and still getting a roughing the passer call.

I've been waiting to see a comment about this. I said at the time, that would never have been called on Bama, and shouldn't be called on anyone. He did hold up, when he could have demolished the QB.

It's like no one watched our OL

What about our OL? We had two true freshman rotating a guard and the line looked pretty damn good to me.

Agree about Bama's DL, it is the strength of the team IMO. LB's are smaller and secondary did not cover well.

If you believe ESPN, BYU's strength was their Dline, appears our boyz were damn strong.

Alabama defense is still very good, but their secondary is suspect at best. Their defense won the game last night. Will still be very hard to run on them.

They were gifted 2 fumbles and a blocked punt in the red zone. Their offense was anything but impressive. Hurts isn't much better a passer than Etling. Their run game other than the long run by Harris was very underwhelming.

Even if we could pass at will, we wont control the game enough if we dont rush for more than 30 yards again.

Bama's offense ain't shite this year. But what's really funny is that Saban recruited defensive players and prepared a plan to attack Miles' offensive scheme, not Canada's.

I'm a Tiger through and through...but the answer is Bama. It disgusts me to say that they will in all likelihood run the table again...one loss max, and I have no idea who that loss will come from...if at all.
