Fla St had no offensive superstar to threaten Bama, if you watched that game there was no imagination on offense except for a reverse which sucked. Wasn't impress with Bama's defense overall except for their DLine. Their secondary still looks vulnerable, See no vulnerabilties with LSU's. Looking at the teams now on LSU's schedule, Bama's appears to be the only major threat, Its going to be Bama or LSU, and Bama looks more vulnerable on defense.

The only way to beat Bama is to have a great passing game. Their Defense won't let you run against them.

I'd say that it may be a little early for this kind of discussion

Francois is probably the best QB Bama will face all season. Florida state has plenty of offensive firepower. Bama has the top defense in the nation until proven otherwise.

This fanbase is so delusional. One team played #3 one team played a mid-major

I saw bama dlineman crushing people in that game. And they put the starting quarterback out of the game. Us winning that game will again come down to pass protection and efficiency because you still are not running on them.

Discussing which team in the SEC has the best defense is a hell of a lot better discussion than whether Aranda leaves after this year.

Come on man. Bama played Fla State and we played BYU, you can't compare the competition. Our D looked incredible last night but BYU is not a good team offense wise in any kind of way whatsoever.

Agree about Bama's DL, it is the strength of the team IMO. LB's are smaller and secondary did not cover well. Their DL will give teams fits. Not sure the jet/motion sweeps will get by those guys as they disrupt and get upfield. The fake sweeps and quick seam passes will beat them every time (AKA Clemson). Going to be interesting to see how the next few weeks unfold.

I mentioned this on the scoreboard but will do so again. To put last night's shutout into an historical perspective it marked just the third time in 43 years that BYU has been shut out.

528 games and only twice previously has anyone shutout this school's football team.

Its going to be Bama or LSU, and Bama looks more vulnerable on defense.

OK first off, I think this IS debatable and LSU's defense IS going to be EPIC. However, you can't go all hyperbole when making your claim. Bama's defense looked as good as LSU's but against better competition. Bama's didn't look vulnerable they looked like one of, if not the most complete defense in the nation along with Michigan, LSU and Florida State.

Time will tell which defense will be the best and IMO it will come down to LSU and Bama.

That said...It astounds me how many "LSU fans" come out of the wood work to suck off Bama's D when someone makes a claim that Bama may have NOT be the best D since the 85 Bears!

-To those who repeatedly criticise LSU fans for NOT bowing at the altar of Saban and revering Bama as the undefeatable god of CFB, leave your man card in the closet and come on out with your crimson dress on!

thought it was crazy watching the hits Bama was putting on Francois and then watching Gilmore actually holding up on his hit and still getting a roughing the passer call.

this. It's like no one watched our OL and Bama DL and saw the glaring advantage Bama has. If our OL improves we will compete. If they don't expect 17-0
