Fourth but could possibly be fifth.
Bama - Even though they lose 9 starters on offense and probably 3 on defense, they seem to just reload. They are #1 all the way.
Auburn - bring back Williams and Johnson is a better passer, but that offense will look different. Defense could 6-8 players. Could be anywhere between 2nd and 4th preseason.
Arky - they are barely losing anything so they might actually be higher than Auburn. Lose four 4 on defense and two on offense. Now 3 of those guys are really good like Spaight, Flowers, and Darby, but the offense looks to get better, and the defense will be mostly juniors next year. They could be anywhere between 2nd and 4th.
LSU - a lot of ours depends on the QB sitch, DC hire, and early exits, but we might be as high as 3rd preseason or as low as 6th. For instance, let's say we get Pendergast, we lose only Mills, Collins, Kwon, seniors and Harris is declared starter in the spring. That is a best case scenario IMO. We'd bring back 8 on offense (7 if you swap Harris in) and 7 on defense. That would be incredible.
Ole Miss/TAMU - neither lose a lot, but still tough to gauge. TAMU loses 3 OL and their #2 top WR, but that's not much. The defense is still a problem. Ole Miss lose 2 in the secondary and like one or two more guys from the defense, but outside of that and Wallace, they bring most of this squad back. Ole Miss and TAMU as high as 4th low as 6th.
MSU - they are losing A LOT of starters plus most of their two deep. Bringing back Dak and his top two WRs, but that's about it. MSU is going go crash back down to earth.

Coker is a junior. He will be their starter next year. Why would be transfer from FSU just to ride the bench and graduate? He has playing time in Kiffin's offense. He will thrive. Calvin Ridley is an Amari Cooper clone. Bama won't lose a step. They'll win the west again next year. I see Auburn as probably their only loss.
Bama #1
Everyone else #2-7. Does it matter?

It's sad that although Alabama loses essentially their entire offense next year, they will still field a significantly more productive offensive unit than us.

I can see anywhere from 3rd to 7th, but it doesn't matter. Hell predictions are rough enough after seeing who is staying on all the teams and to a lesser extent the recruiting classes being signed.

Does it really matter??? LSU is gonna go 8-4 again with another chance to choke away the bowl game and finish 8-5 again.... What a waste of talent.....

we should be third behind bama and auburn.
Ole miss and Miss st take a step back, but writers are getting behind Arky

I had posted one of the Preseason Rankings that had LSU 9th in the Country. Most of the Article talked about Fournette and being a Contender for the Heisman Trophy.

Honestly? Given what everyone loses and the potential hype for next year?
Second. Alabama will be predicted as the number one team, almost regardless of losses. They've earned that. They just really never rebuild. Auburn won't be seen in that way; LSU might. But next year is a make or break year for LSU's image. If we are at least in contention (top 7 finish), and we win our bowl game, the media will see us as revitalized. If we just end in the top 20 and win or lose our bowl game, we'll be seen in the same way that Georgia has for some time. A good team, could beat anyone on any given day, but ultimately not a real contender.
It could go:
Alabama
LSU
Auburn
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Mississippi State
Ole Miss

You guys are ridiculous. Ole miss and state are going be terrible. Auburn loses 6 starters on offense and 7 on defense. Texas a&m still has no players on defense.

Now that we know who the starting QB is, we will be last...

It doesn't matter what players Bama loses. With their recruiting, they will dominate.

I didn't say Alabama do your homework guys. The west is going to be terrible next year. Lsu won 8 games this year with a young team. I'm not saying they will win the west but I would shocked if we didn't win 10 games.

Coker is not a junior - he had already graduated from FSU and that is why he was allowed to transfer without sitting out a year
