I was at Ft Polk for LAANG summer training excercise ( that 2 weeks each summer thing) listening on a Walkman. Laying down on a rack of self deploying land mines (inert of course).

In my house getting shaving cream to go write LSU on all the windows of my neighbors house.

Said neighbors wife went to Miami, he played for Alabama and was on the undefeated Dolphins team. They loved Miami and hated LSU.

That's something else that Western Europe has in common with The State of Alabama.

6...probably at my parents house. I don't remember that moment as it happened. I did get to watch the 2000 World Series win in a bowling alley in rural Wyoming.

Walking the last part of my mail route in Metry while trying to listen to the game on headphones that I wasn't supposed to be wearing while at work.

I was just about finished and almost sprinting to my vehicle when Morris hit the HR. I was going to go find someplace to see the highlites on TV when one of the neighbors waved me inside to see it.

For some reason that I've never figured, WWL had the national radio call of the game instead of LSU's, so we didn't get to hear Hawthorne's call until later.

I was at work at Disney. I knew nothing about the game until I got home and talked to my dad on the phone.

On my couch at my apartment in Metairie with my 6 month old daughter asleep in her car seat on the floor (the only thing she slept in at the time). She wasn't asleep long when I jumped up and went apeshit!! The wife wasn't too happy. Oh well. Lmao. Great moment.

At a wedding reception in Houston, TX. We went to wedding earlier in the day and I was bummed about not getting to watch the game. After congratulatory well wishes to bride and groom I noticed they were showing the game on TV in hotel bar. I slowly walked up and there was Wayne Morris batting in bottom of 9th w 2 out. His HR helped make the night even more memorable. Watched 30 seconds of TV the entire day and that was it. Timing is everything. Great moment!

Doing my run for my Navy Reserve PT. I heard the broadcast on a National Guardman's radio as I passed his car on General Chennault Avenue.
