Where to stay for W Kentucky Friday night?

Wife and I always drive the day of the game but I have the Friday off so we decided to just go to BR a day early and stay the night. I'm not concerned about price which is why we're considering L'auberge, but I'm not sure if that's the best option. Any help would be appreciated.

A hotel is a hotel. It all depends on what you're trying to do that night, the day of the game, etc.

I agree with you which is why I'm asking for recommendations. I don't necessarily want to spend $200 at the L'auberge when I'd get an equal stay at a Hilton. We want to be relatively close to campus but we're just unfamiliar with the hotels in the area.

L'aburge is kind of isolated. I'd stay downtown.

Hilton Downtown is nice and pretty close to campus. Also cheaper than the L'auberge last I checked.

Lod Cook on Campus is as close as you can get, if it has any vacancies. It's also where the team stays for home games.

Post game traffic brings you right towards L'auberge, which should be considered.

Motel 6 on Siegen was pretty sweet for Bama last year

A hotel? The internet is a powerful thing. Use it and find one you like

I'm asking people directly about experience. Not reading reviews on Hotels.com about a stain in the corner of their 3* hotel.

Some friends of ours stayed at a L'auberge in a suite. It was beautiful. There was shuttle service from there to game.

If you stay at the Hilton, they have a shuttle that will take you to and bring you from the game. EXTREMELY convenient.

We stayed at the new Holiday Inn Express in downtown BR twice recently. Very nice property with lower rates than the other downtown hotels. They also have a game day shuttle.
When we first checked the rates for the home game weekend they were very high but when we checked closer to the game weekend the rates had been lowered to a reasonable price.

There's also a Staybrisge Suites on campus

I was just about to suggest Staybridge suites.
