LSU can definitely make an argument to be near the top 10. We got hosed!

What we are ranked doesn't matter. Win and we will move up.

Doesn't matter. A win against bama and we could start criticizing rankings.

Agree that it's way to early to be concerned about rankings when you're 5th in the division. However, the biggest impetus for MSU to vault upward in the rankings was their win in Death Valley. They played their best game of the year while LSU was not settled yet, in particular the OL and defensive middle. Those two areas have been stabilized and MSU is glad to have their 5-point win in hand. Could have been a different story had that game been played in November.

But it wasn't.

And let's not have revisionist history ... Mullen took his foot off the gas and almost made a big mistake.

And the entire regular season should count for something.

Let's not try and become the NBA and NHL (and even NFL) where sub-500 teams make the playoffs.

I agree with this..........

BUT... Come on Dude.. MSU took the foot off the gas against LSU when they met... 34-10 was the score... MSU could have scored 50 that night if they wanted to... I blame Mullen for that game being that close........ They were in a prevent rushing only 3 linemen... YES THAT matters........

LSU is a much better team now.. Which is great... But they are where they should be IMO. They have two losses and you can't change that... Are they better than some ranked ahead of them>???? Sure... But they only have one loss....... That's just the way it is........

The only conclusion I can draw is that the committee considers the Pac12 to be a stronger conference than the B1G.

Evidently, if you are going to get blown the frick out ... it's better to score a decent amount of points in the process.
