He got a DWI and went into hiding.
Maybe, just maybe, his attempts at trying to sign people up to pay for subscription services is finally over after his last attempt failed so quickly.

It was goofy with him over the past year. He was, by default, the regular expert over on the tigerslair. He started a blog called damnstrong or something like that and started charging for it.
After that he told people they needed to pay again for a new blog he was starting, that was related to either ESPN or Rivals in some way, but then he was let go from the company a few weeks after that and didn't have the blog anymore.

Everyone knows the story with Purple and Gold Magazine.

its rare that i have the chance to meet one of the perennial writers on LSU football. I met Scott. That guy is a serious prick.

The company that owns the ESPN affiliate Web Site, Eye on The Tigers, fired McKay less than two months after he was hired and a couple of weeks after that his named appeared in The Advocate for being arrested for DUI and making an illegal turn. Assuming it's the same guy he had a pretty bad month.

i heard about that purple and gold thing.

anyone that charges that many people that much money - and they dont get what they paid for - is a crook.

if he got a DUI i just consider that jail time for what he should have already received.

SM has put all of his focus into his Anti-Obama political blog - The Hayride.

He is an outspoken representative for Republican causes.

yeah .. the guy is a blowhard alcoholic ernest hemmingway wanna-be that happens to have a slightly informed opion on LSU sports .. the only difference between he and some guy on a stool talking LSU football at ivar's is that mckay has prolly stolen close to $100K from people in subscriptions to services he never had any intentions of honoring ..

he might be a republican, but in my experience with him he is also a racist POS crook. The kinds of things he rants about is extremely polarizing and hardly the "republican cause"

And lots of others.

Don't ya'll think Scott could get himself off the hook with all this by simply starting an LSU blog, giving "premium" access to those he rooked for free and posting articles to it for about a year.

I bet almost everyone would take that deal and not feel like they got ripped off.

And it would cost Scott nothing but some menial effort.

too little too late. there are free blogs and free sites all over for LSU. And his inside knowledge of LSU football is about as good as my grandmothers inside knowledge of the CIA.

he's a crook.. pure and simple
