Where does Tyron Johnson fit into the offense?

We know Dural and Dupre will be the starters

We have plenty of talent at the position overall with Jazz, D.J. Chark and the influx of new guys like Davis and Anderson.

It seems like Johnson is already the forgotten man to the casual fan. Could he play a vital role in the slot in 3 WR formations?

I didn't forget about him

He'll get plenty of snaps imo.

Right. I wasn't expecting him to move to fullback.

I suppose what I'm asking is how prevalent of a role do we think he'll have.

As the #3 WR and #1 next year. There's a ton of talent at WR but Tyron is a clear cut #3 and honestly may push Dural for the #2 spot.

If Harris makes strides going into the fall this could be a pretty deadly offense

I honestly think the biggest question mark will be how we do with replacing the offensive tackles

I think he pushes Dural. Idt anyone on staff has forgotten about him. Dudes a future draft pick IMO.

Tyron Johnson is not a clear cut No. 3. Don't know where you got that from. Chark is a better receiver at this stage right now with playmaking ability all over him. Johnson played okay last season, but looked frightened at times. He'll get snaps to contribute, but Chark would have to be the No. 3 receiver imo at this time.

Negative, Chark has pushed for the #3 spot at this point. Johnson is about the #4 or #5 WR at this point from what the reports and talking heads are saying.

So a guy whose only touch of his career came on an end around is a better receiver than a guy who had multiple catches and a pair of touchdowns?

That's interesting.

What the hell does that have to do with who is the better player?? You can see it, it's obvious! You ask Les Miles why he chose not to play DJ Chark at all last season until the damn bowl game. People know by now that Miles' does a lot of strange shite that makes absolutely no sense. So, Johnson got to play in some games last season, big deal. Chark has been there longer and has been in the system longer and should have been playing. I bet you'll see a lot of him this season!

If Chark was that polished he would have been playing immediately when Dural was out.

I'm not sure what it is about his game that caused him to not see the field. Is it possible that he's a liability as a blocker in the run game? Brick hands?

I agree. If Harris gets command of the offense, read defenses, and avoids INTs, I believe you will see a lot of three and four WR sets. Our rotation of WRs and TEs will create matchup problems. But it's up to Harris to spread it around.

So why did a true freshman in TJ play way more than Chark last season who was a Sophomore?

Chark and the previous WR coach didn't mesh. Chark has a fresh start now.

I didn't say he was polished. Don't put words in my mouth. I said I thought he was the better receiver, especially with the ball in his hands where he's dangerous after the catch and can take it to the house, but Les Miles' has always done strange things since he's been there. Not playing people who should obviously play, and benching people in games because of a fumble in practice or something. Just crazy shite.

Brick hands?
kid showed no brick hands in the spring game and was raved about by Les Miles all last summer in practice, but didn't see the field at all.
