Idgaf if he is Heisman contender or not, but saying he isn't at this point is ridiculous. He will have his chances in national big-time games.

Not if the QB's keep gaining more and more spotlight.

Lester, your son is not the best player on the field.

According to ESPN QB ratings, Fitzgerald is currently the #33 QB in the country. Etling is #11.

Rosen is #12 & Darnold is #23.

I'm fairly certain this fanbase would trade Etling for either one of those.

TBH, I'd take Fitz over Etling. Especially with the weapons on this offense and Canada's philosophy.

Guice's yardage total is good but not heisman worthy. And he certainly hasn't averaged 9 ypc like Henry did thru 2 games. You do see the difference in efficiency, right?

you have reading comprehension problems.

have barely mentioned what MSU has done so far this season. I'm looking at Fitzgerald's body of work as a first year starter as a sophomore last year & expecting him to be better in his second year as a Jr. It's that simple.

I'm pretty sure I read 100% references to this season and 0% references to last season but I'll double check to make sure my reading comprehension is working.

He’s nice and all, but damn. He hasn’t done enough winning to hold Guice’s jock.

You do see the difference in small sample sizes don't you? Surely you aren't a dumbass, like you were alluding to in the reply to the other poster. You are on one fkn roll today. Jesus.

Obviously. Where in your post about Guice no longer being in the Heisman race did you mention efficiency? I was responding to was your assertion that he was out of it because of his yardage total.

And I was also responding to your statement that BYU was a cupcake. It's too early to know, but they might have a pretty good run defense.

If you follow the Heisman stuff at all you'd know the margin is small between players. If you aren't running thru Tenn Chat/BYU and padding your stats you're pretty much fricked because you know when SEC play comes it is going to be much tougher sledding

So yea, small sample sizes matter. Member when LF missed a chance to play McNese state his soph year? Could you imagine what 200 yards and 3 more TDs and some menacing highlights could have brought his heisman campaign? Especially given how Alabama shut him down. Now add up a potential yardage vs mcnese st and Alabama and the average doesn't look quite as bad. So sit down and have a cup of stfu, bubba

Guice was the leading rusher in the SEC so I'm going to say Guice is the first and Fitzgerald is the second

I was at the Tech game. LSU better take this team serious. If not we will have trouble with them. Its a home game for them. Cow bells ringing. We have played poorly before by underestimating someone.
