I think that Thomas and James are some of the best at running the spread in the country. Think about it - these kids grew up playing in a spread type offense in Texas HS football. Put the right players in your system and its amazing how well things work. The problem is, no football team anywhere runs a vomit-style offense such as the 2010 LSU offense. I don't care what type of players LSU has, they will more than likely still underachieve with the current offensive system in place - think we really missed the boat by not grabbing Holgorsen last year.

Oregon would crush LSU and Bama too. Neither could keep up offensively. Auburn would have a shot because they can match them offensively. While Oregon may not see line play like the SEC teams, the SEC teams only see 1 fast paced offensive attack. That comes from Auburn and no SEC team can stop them.

Isn't that close to where "one of the better teams in the SEC" is rated on offense?

Using your bubble gum logic, perhaps the defensive play in the SEC is as overrated as the offensive play in the PAC 10.

3 star talent is excellent talent if you know how to use them.

To the ignorant, maybe...they sure hung 48 on Tennessee and held them to 13.

Pac-10 bashing is popular on this board. I don't get it. While I think the SEC is better, it's far from night and day.

Does the Pac-10 have horrible defense or great offense? Does the SEC have poor offense or great defense? It's the same logic, yet somehow the SEC is good at both while the Pac 10 is bad at both.

In general, most of these kids are within a fairly close range of talent.

I think about how weak arse the pack 10 is. That is what I think. Yes they are fast, but so is eveyone in the sec. Come play on grass and see what that gets you. They are always playing on "ideal" field conditions up there.

A few things you can't evaluate is football knowledge, time management, and daily work ethic.

However, you can recruit kids who have it. For the most part our kids do.

It's not like Oregon doesn't have any talent. Their backfield is four star recruits. Oddly, their best receiver recruit was one of their least productive in recent history. When you get guys with speed under the best offensive coach in the nation, you'll have success. USC has more talent on defense than every team in the SEC besides maybe Bama or Florida, and it's very, very close. I'm not saying they'd roll through the SEC but to dismiss everything they do because they play in the Pac-10 is naive.

LSU's offense wouldn't be good playing against those teams.

USC LOST most of their talent due to sanctions and they have a new defense philosophy being implements. In 2 years, USC will be the most dominating team in the country. I HATE MONTY and his boy, but you have got to give him credit. USC will be able to recruit after sanctions.
