I feel a bit of pity. They have such passion and emotion in this belief, and if it doesn't come true... if Saban isn't the sole reason for LSU's successes... they seem as if they might be a danger to themselves.

Fortunately, I don't run into a lot of them up here. I only know one Alabama fan here, and he's just a casual fan because he grew up there, but didn't attend the school or anything, so he actually has some sense and doesn't talk any trash about the reigning national champions.
Still, if I ever did run into one of those unfortunate souls on the street or elsewhere, I'd like to think I'd be charitable and just nod and smile as if I were listening to an actual human adult with a full set of brain cells. Sort of the way I do when a three-year-old is trying to tell me a story.

to be honest, most fans have no idea how good other schools recruiting classes are. Bama fans do go a little overboard though with the "Saban's Talent" argument, but that's about all they have to hold onto right now.

Look at the preseason all sec team and see how many players were signed by miles then tell me how the hell they can say our talent is dropping off. Nobody is running an hiding from Saban or Alabama bitches…..that’s what just ran through my head

We have our fair share of morons for certain but LSU has plenty too. Every team has a share of the fan base that just doesn't have a clue. It is like listening to a Baylor fan explain why they've got the Big 12 this year.

you are 100%....i live in oklahoma and there are ou fans that are just as bad. i just don't see how anyone can justify the "drop" in talent at LSU.

I met an Alabama fan down hear at a Christmas party...could not have been more condescending and arrogant...
Taylor ZarZar an Bama grad on the Sports Buzz radio station here in Raleigh is pretty cool, but he is a die hard, and he can't hide his bias...He thinks saban is a football God, he is a wait you see talker...
But hey, it is what makes the SEC the SEC, I love it....
My take is, Bama owned us for the most part during the 70's and 80's, and it was humiliating to get pounded by Bama all those years...
I am enjoying the current glory days...and it get old listening to UGA fans and Bama fans! They have issues

Saban's players have been gone for a long time. He has not coached a player at LSU for some time now. just saying.

Well I don't think that there is an overall drop in talent however a few amazing players or important positions have a change.
Losing Dorsey is big no matter how much talent you have waiting. I really thought he was the best player in college football last year even though he had some injuries.
Having no proven QB is tough in the SEC.
The CBs on the roster are unproven.
Looking at the rosters I think last year was a better squad and they still lost 2 games.
I think with your defense plus a dominate O-line/good running game that the QB will be able to manage the game however its very hard to know what to expect. Alabama could have easily had a very good season last year if not for a certain QB making some amazing mistakes in close games.
But overall there is a great deal of depth and talent... I just don't see this team having a better record than the team last year. I would guess a 3 loss season. However if injuries don't hit the team and the QB plays very well feel free to rub that in my face in a few months.
