When will the Heisman be voted on?

I read that Dec. 11th it would be awarded. So they vote as soon as regular season ends?

As a heisman voter you mail in your ballot whenever you feel like it, many have already voted

Ballots distributed to voters on Dec 2. Have to be turned in by the 9th. Voters can turn them in any time in that period - their choice.

Ballots went out this past Monday, must be submitted by this coming Monday. Finalists will be announced then.
Edit: Nevermind, this was information from last year. Its a week later in the cycle this year.

I asked a friend last week. He said the Heisman was for regular season games. Not post season

Dont have exact dates, but you get ballots before conference championships. You can "hand" them in asap, or wait til after the conference championships. Some people vote before, some after.

Dec 15th is NOT a private event. thats when the ceremony takes place that you see on TV. Tickets are/were available for 10,000 - 40,000
