well chunk, you say most are agree with you but after 4 pages of this i see noone agreeing with you. sometimes you have to admit when you were wrong. JH is who i want broadcasting every game i listen to.

I hate Hawthorne calling LSU games, so much so that I often turn him off. He has this distgusted demeanor when LSU is playing badly that I just don't want to hear. If addition, he exaggerates how badly LSU is playing and is overly critical of the performance of the players. Im all for even a home announcer to be as objective as possible but I for one, will be glad when he leaves the booth

Why does criticizing Hawthorne make you guys attack the poster. The fact that Hawthorne sucks and many point it out is no reason to get defensive. Would you guys have attacked posters who said how bad a Coach Curley Hallman, Smoke Laval or John Brady was if posted at that time? Well many believe Hawthorne is that bad or worse so why do u attack them? Just because u say he bleeds purple and gold doesnt make him a good announcer. Am sure many here bleed purple and gold but that doesnt qualify them to be LSU's announcer why does it qualify Jim. Weak voice limited knowledge (Jack Hunt anyone). And if he does bleed purple and gold why is he so damn negative. Talk about a negatiger that would be Jim Suckthorne!!!!

Here's an idea... how about getting a sticky on an anti-Hawthorne thread.... and let all the 'tards post the same shite in there ad nauseum. Do we really need 3 of 4 of them every day?

Agreed but just curios why when numerous people criticize Hawthorne a few attack viciously. Having heard good announcers I know Jim is not one but u would think he was Mike the Tiger or something. Why cant LSU have a first rate announcer to go with its first rate programs? Again he miscalled the greatest play in the last 20 years!

I tell you who I was impressed with, the radio announcers at Rupp that does the KY basketball games, that dude was good, he was even for both teams, gave a lil enthusiasm to the home team, but called a great game. but TIGER BAIT they are
