I, for one, hope they don't play him this year. They still have Magee or Sheppard to turn to if need be. It would be dumb to burn his redshirt if they don't need to.

RBs are a lot more likely to turn pro earlier than most other positions. So, if we can get anything out of him this year, we need to do that. This is Miles' new philosophy

If they are worried about him going pro, they need to be worried about next year because after next year he has 3 years out of HS and is draft eligible.

Better yet, why do we even need to have a child molester on the team anyway? Regardless of how good he thinks he is?
Were you ever in high school, you self-righteous a-hole? It's not like he's in his late 20's; kid was a HS senior, and he was able to get some action. I doubt he was interested in checking birth certificates at the time.

If he does get carries this year it'll be like 10 - 20 at most... No point in playing him really unless someone is injured.

11/3/12 the rest of our running backs has the flu and jeremy hill takes the field and runs for 279 yards on 15 carries.

Wow, the number of people saying redshirt is ridiculous. RB is one of the positions you don't normally redshirt. Hill will get some carries this year, and it may only be for 1 or 2 games, which would take away his eligibility for a redshirt. Whether he plays or not this year doesn't affect when he'll be heading pro. We have Hill for a minimum of 2 seasons and a maximum of 3. Either way, he isn't redshirting, even if he only gets 10 carries this year.

You want to throw Mett off the team too?

Mettenberger, who was kicked off the team by coach Mark Richt on April 18, grabbed the breasts and buttocks of a woman at Flip Flops, a bar near Valdosta, on March 7, according to Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney J. David Miller. The victim was an employee of the bar but not working that night, Miller said.

Sexual Battery (which many drunk College kids have done in a bar) and what Hill was charged for are totally different.

You are a dumb mf'er.......:carry on:

You don't even see the irony in the dude's statement?

ETA: Just so you see the irony:

Hill was arrested for sexual battery, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Mett was arrested for sexual battery, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of misdemeanor sexual battery.

I see what you "think" is irony and making, what I'm sure you thought was funny, a remark trying to compare the two incidents.

I don't agree with what the poster said about Hill and trying to throw Mett into the situation was even more

quote:

carnal knowledge of a juvenile

and

quote:

misdemeanor sexual battery

are totally different scenarios.

No need for either statements to be made

Wrong. Your eligibility starts when you enroll into your first college class, not when you graduate HS.

You can be 30 years old and go play college football if you've never taken a college class of any kind.
