You know you have big time receivers When the Biletnikoff Award winner has the 4th highest catch rate on your team.

Catch Rate:

CEH - 87.72% (1st in SEC)
Moss 86.36% (2nd in SEC)
Jefferson - 84.62% (3rd in SEC)
Chase - 68.52%
Marshall - 67.27%

In all fairness CEH and Moss both get thrown to far less often and in less contested situations than Chase. Jefferson on the other hand might be the most disrespected player in the SEC. 88 receptions with 1200+ yards and 12+ TDs. Arguably the 3rd best season for a WR in LSU history. No way he isnt 1st team All-SEC

Wouldn't say disrespected, but under-rated, for sure.

All of these LSU receivers are elite, and all will get paid at the next level. It's been a privilege to watch these young future-pros bring LSU to such high pass-game level this season.

No way he’s first team all-SEC. Take off the P&Gs. Jefferson is one of the top 15 or 20 WRs we’ve ever had, but he would not crack the top three at Bama. Do you remember when LSU had the two top receivers in the country in Jarvis and Odell? They did not have the stats, but they WERE the best. This year Bama has the top three or four receivers in the league after Chase.

Oh im sorry for thinking that postseason accolades were supposed to be based on performance during the season and not who is generally considered to be a better player. I guess it doesnt matter than JJets had an objectively better season than at least 3 of Bama's 4 Wideouts. Clearly that doesnt matter. All that matters is that Jeudy, Ruggs, and Waddle are "more talented." Thanks for enlightening me.

They have never hesitated to shove as many Alabama players onto the All SEC lists as possible in the past, but the minute LSU has 2 WRbetter than anyone else's, they decide to give another kid the spot. Jefferson had a better year than Devonta Smith and Jeudy. In all areas. But they gave Smith his spot because reasons.

Smith : 65/1,200/13 TDs

JJ : 88/1,207/14 TDs

Foolish, Jefferson's ability to separate and his scramble drillsare second to none...
What he lacks in flat out speed (also very good), he makes up in hands and that which I pointed out above.

I think it's just catches / targets i.e. catch rate or catch %.

Could be wrong though

If their double coverage it is on Jefferson. This makes Chase and Marshall targetede more. 2 out of 3 is not bad for a heavily target WR especially if he is thrown a good number of long passes. What’s remarkable is Jefferson’s nearly 85% of receptions.

I’ve seen many idiotic statements over more than a decade on this board, but good god man - this might make the top 10.

I don’t think he was disrespected, just probably the deepest year for WRs in SEC history. He’s probably the 4th best in the SEC imo.

Haters probably saying Jefferson isnt getting the #1 corner since they have him working the slot against LBs and safeties......I believe he has a big game against oklahoma

frick your subjective eyeball test. Same division with a great qb and a pass first scheme. Are you the ghost of Al Davis? I don’t expect any of them to have a better pro career than Jefferson.

Catches divided by targets. Non-catches are not analyzed - so, it is a catch or it is not one. Very simple and clean stat.

Smith - 78.31%
Ruggs - 74.51%
Jeudy - 69.61%

Ok, let’s discuss schedule now. Bama faces two good teams and lost to both. The rest of their games were against Midville School for the Gifted.
