Have you seen the thread with people freaking out over the QB in the gauntlet drill?

Nooooo! IMO, the Big Cat is the most overrated drill that we all talk about and some drool over.

If they would just scoot back a foot on both sides so that there would actually be a damn impact it would be entertaining to watch.

The drill is useless. But the player love going one on one. It fires them up and gets them out of normal practice routine. And it's entertaining to watch

To everyone saying it's pointless, etc. - Who cares? It may not actually hone any skills, but it's fun to see these hypothetical match ups and who can handle who. Plus, it gets the players jacked and excited.

What's not to like? Is it just "cool" to point out it's "pointless?"

Never understood this drill.
Just don't see the purpose.

When I played ball we did a similar drill, it was called Oklahoma, separates men from the boys. Anyone else that's ever done it would understand.

IMO This big cat thing is a waste of time. Accomplishes nothing.

The only thing you can argue the big cat is useful for is teaching hand placement
