How is he comparable to Clyde? Clyde was not fast; Holly is. Clyde had spin moves like crazy; Holly has not shown that. Clyde was very powerful; Holly seems to have average power. They are both short RBs. That’s all the similarities I see. Holly has looked good to me, just not like Clyde.

I have bias cause I played football with his dad... but he is the best back that I have seen at our school.. he has shown burst and agility when need enough power to get yards and he can catch.. now is he all SEC I'm not saying that but he has to get the ball... I think next year he will get 45/50 touches and hopefully get over 500 total yards.. then he should get close to 90/100 touches his jr year when he and Jackson are the main backs...

Will likely just be a good backup at LSU. Won’t ever be a true RB1 here.

Nothing changes. That was the same response from some fans back when LSU signed a short player from Patterson, La.
Gary James was the HS running back recruit in the country. No way Hilliard would play since we had James.

Dalton Hilliard went on to have a great LSU career and eight seasons with the Saints.

Even Clyde wasn't Clyde when he first got here. He sat and waited and blew up in 2019.

They run with a very similar style. I’ve seen Holly enough to see him catch out of the backfield on down the field routes as well, which Clyde did well. I will say Holly is faster top end and uses his blockers well. To me the spins and cuts and finish on runs looks a lot like Clyde.

Also, what did anyone know about Clyde after his 31 yards freshman year? Holly has had 10 touches so if you haven’t seen him play much before LSU, you wouldn’t know.

Jackson and Holly have to learn to pick up an SEC blitzer or they will not take away Williams primary role

Right, Holly should be the main backup to Jackson next season and will get plenty of opportunities. Like all running backs, hope he can remain healthy.

Durham could be right up there and it will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets as a freshman.

It appears three or four different running backs could become solid contributors next season.

I think he and Jackson will be one of the best RB duos we have ever had.

We’ll see. What he did in HS was off the charts. I want to see him get a chance.

If he came out of Spatafora's system, he's stronger than rent. Strength won't be a problem.

I think we had too many RB in 2023 and Holly will get his share of carries in 2024 to show what he can do.
