Born raised in BR. Brother was in Tiger Band, 1972-76. So my "first" game was vs UF, I think in 74 or 75. I was only 7, remember very little. My mother work in accounting at LSU starting in 77 I think and I started selling cokes in Tiger Stadium in Jr High so 1981 I guess. I loved doing that but you couldn't watch the game unless you hide your tray cause you couldn't walk through the crowd selling cokes at that time and it's nothing like now, it was a open tray with coke in cups with no lids

we had season tickets by that time, 79 vs Bama was the first game I rememeber being at as a fan. Rained all night, was sick for a week after, lost 3-0 but shoulda been 33-0. Was not at USC. Listened to the radio broadcast. Cried like a baby when LSU lost. Cried in 81 when Indiana beat LSU in the final four and that was the last time I cried over sports until the Saints won the SB, but those were tears of joy.

I did the 7 yr tour at 3 different schools to get my degree. LSU was my last stop. To me at the time, I wanted out of BR so bad and I didn't feel I had to go there to still be a fan. LSU reps the state IMO. It's there for you if you went there or not.

My Parents were LSU students when I was 2 -5 years old 71-75. I grew up in LSU married Student Apartments. Luckily could not afford babysitter and I attended many great games as a kid; -Bert Jones-Woodley era in LSU Student Section. The student section would chant "watergate" instead of "Tigerbait" one year-just for grins. I'm also an alum and sat through games during "dark times" Hallman Years. Would not trade my early childhood experience for anything.

The chinese bandits, they can knock song, and Billy Cannon's 89 yard KO return against Ole Miss
did the trick for this SW Mississippi lad of 14. I never considered another university-my degree, my son and daughter's degree. We all bleed purple and gold

My early years were in Bunkie and LSU was everyone's team. Moved to Shreveport but my allegiance didn't change. Wound up at LSU Law in 1990, although those were not good years for football. My best memory was hosting the football and basketball pre and post game shows on WJBO in 1992-1993 season.

I grew up in BR. My mom worked at the museum for so long they threatened to make her an exhibit.

I watched Maravich at the cow palace, sold peanuts and did the Boy Scou usher job as well. I was on the 30 yard line when Casanova got his hands on the ball more than Tom Gatewood (the Notre Dame receiver he covered that night).

I competed in the first indoor track meet held at the Field House, and won a State Championship at Bernie Moore.

My wife and I climbed to the top of the Married Student Housing complex to watch baseball games - before Skip came to town.

After she graduated, we moved to accommodate her job, and I eventually joined the Marines. I carried the LSU colors around the world - all day every day that I possibly could.

We landed in Georgia for work, and even though my girls went to high school in UGA territory, they both attended LSU, the first graduating last May.

I wish I could say I graduated from LSU, but circumstances have prevented it. But that doesn't diminish the love I have for the school and the support I have for the teams - all the teams.

One thing I hated back in GA was asking a "fan" of UGA, Bama, or Auburn how their baseball team was doing (one such fan didn't even know LSU and Bama were playing for the CWS title in 97) only to have them say "I only follow the football team - I don't care about the other sports."

As A kid we used to listen to John Ferguson do the play by play on my Dad's old am radio. My Dad would take my Brother and I to some OOC games when we were young. After my time in the Army was up I sold cokes in Death Valley (Auburn fans are the worst).During that period I came to know many types of fans throughout the stadium Although I've never attended LSU I would venture to say that I am a fan as well.

I was 13 years old. My step dad got tickets to this one game because every tiger fan thought we was going to get stomped! Beaux, they were wrong!!! As soon as we walked up to the stadium, some of our fans were shaking their bus. Yes, it was the 97 Lsu vs florida game. What a epic game!!!
Then after the game, stormed the field. They had people carrying the goal post down the road. What an atmosphere. From then on I was hooked like a crackhead!!!
