The game I was at

Oct. 22, 2005: "Five Wide"

Auburn's John Vaughn would soon be the scapegoat of this Auburn defeat by LSU. Auburn and LSU were tied 17-17 going into overtime. By this time, Vaughn had missed four field goals.

LSU would kick a go-ahead field goal off the first possession, leading 20-17. Vaughn would attempt a 39-yard field goal, only to have it bounce off the left upright, giving LSU the win.

I didn't have a TV for the 2005 Auburn game, so all I had was Hawthorne.

Least favorite was watching Ben Leard and crew kick our arse in 1999

The Earthquake Game in 1988.

I also attended the games at Auburn in 2006 and 2008. I liked 2008 much better. What a waste the refgate game was in '06. I still have bad memories of us not throwing the ball downfield with JRussell, Bowe, Davis, and Doucet. Unreal.

1996 was an awesome game. The burning building, and Cedric Donaldson with the Pick-2 on their conversion attempt late in the game, which would have tied it. Instead, we go up 19-15. Then they get the onside kick, only for Raion Hill to crush their hopes with an INT right after. Fortunately the game was before replay... we got a TD catch (Larry Foster I think?) that was a little bit of a gift from the refs... Adrian Karsten was standing by the footprint, which was visibly out of bounds.

The 97 game was one of the best football games I have ever attended. The Cecil chants were awesome and that dude was simply unstoppable. What a waste he turned out to be.

as long as Tyler takes off on that 3rd and 2, LSU picks up the first down and wins the game... but no doubt though, came down to 4th and goal for AU

The 1997 season was a waste. Had no business losing to Ole Miss, or Auburn. Notre Dame just kicked the crap out of us in Tiger Stadium. We should have won the Western Division that year... if not for that crazy Egg Bowl finish where Auburn escaped, we would have been playing Peyton/Tennessee in Atlanta.

In current times, games I was at...01 game because of the way it started and we dominated, sending us to the SECCG.

But one of the first was a day game in 70 or 71...trick play to score a td on the first play. Just because it was fun to watch.

I must be getting old, because I can't remember the year what I'm about to describe happened. Halftime, Aub's kicker and kick team people came on the field while our band was still performing. I was in the south end zone stands right behind the goal post and saw our Tuba player knock their kicker out of the way. We went on to win the game.

Thanks, LSU. Of course now I remember. It was the game postponed by the events of 9/11. I still have my tuckets somewhere. Tubberville and Co. were so arrogant before the game and at halftime. Not so much at the end lol

1968 LSU 21 - Auburn 20...

It was a rare day game in Tiger Stadium and LSU threw a half-back pass on the first offensive play to score. George Bevan blocked an extra point for LSU's win. I was only 10 years old but I remember it like it was yesterday.

Added... My best friend Bobby and I went to that game and then again in the earth quake game we were there together again.
