Wish you'd give your opinion more. And MOT. Not referring to this topic necessarily. Just in general.

I'm definitely not melting, but I am extremely disappointed with the pitching to this point (as are most fans). Yes, the offense has had a handful of bad outings but overall they are exceeding expectations. This veteran pitching staff was supposed to carry this young team and they simply are not getting it done.

With all that said, LSU is still ranked in the top 15 and still in the SEC West race. Not many realistic people thought they would be in this position at this point in the season.

Sometimes I just get turned off by the endless bitching and constant belaboring of the same point 10000 times.

Despite the performances in some of the midweek games, hitting has been a pleasant surprise. No way I'd ever have believed at this point in the season we'd be hitting .300 in SEC play. My biggest disappointment has been some of our pitchers who have been here for 2-3 years and are still wildly inconsistent. Other than Newman, I have no idea what to expect when we go to the bullpen.

Skip's steroid jerkers used to look dumb against the junk ballers too.

I remember Tulane used to have a pitcher that went to Jesuit who seemed like he never threw faster than 75 mph and we could never touch him.

People that point out the success of skip need to realize at the time there were about 5 teams in college baseball that showed a profit and really cares about baseball. All credit goes to skip for turning lsu into one of those programs but also people have to realize that the competition and how competitively equal teams are today. Then when you throw the bats in that evens the playing field even more.

I expected a season like this.. Lsu is very young and it doesn't work like it used to. Lsu used to get the best of the rest that didn't go pro. Now that's not the case. Next year thus team will be solid. I expect Lange to come back.

Right? Pretty sure my prediction there was 0.265.

Norman has done well. But Bain, Bugg, Reynolds, Stallings have all had some terrible games.

He's only a sophomore. He can't go anywhere.

Fans remember Skip.

Fans remember when only 12-15 colleges competed for the College World Series.

Fans remember when LSU could practically buy a six team Regional and display a huge home field advantage in getting to Omaha.

Fans remember Gorilla ball smacking 188 home runs a season.

Fans expect Omaha every other year.

Fans expect a National Championship more than once per 7 years.

Fans expect quality concession food without paying $10 for a burger and coke.

Fans expect elation without patience.

Fans expect perfection or else fire the coaches.

Fans want Javi fired !

Fans want an OT 10 K-Lady .

Fans want Hawthorne to retire.

Fans are miserable.

Cause we have won all of one game in Omaha since 2010. That is why.

I agree that the playing field is far closer to level than it was in the 90's, but are the bats really a big factor in this. Don't get me wrong, I hate the new bats. I will keep saying 2010 bats were perfect.

He has. And Bugg has been better the last couple of weeks as opposed to the start of the season.

I'm assuming he means that he has the option to transfer.
