Burns my arse up! We are one heartbeat with the team and whomever is leaving early is pissing me the frick off

I left at the end. We have a coach that will continue to put up points until the end. I just hope to see more scoring and not running into a wall of human beings for 30 minutes straight.
So I stay.
So I stay.

7 game days out of 365. 4 hour game and 1-2 hour of traffic. 35-40 hours ish a year is all LSU is asking and many can't do it. But it's because the prices are high and the rich folk do what they want

It's not just students. Fans on the sidelines are just as bad if not worse

I left in the second quarter, TS atmosphere sucks now.

I'm sitting over here in Virginia and was watching the game on TV with some friends who now follow LSU because of me. They ask me why is it that the stadium always looks empty come the 2nd half. All I can say is that what you see left in the stands are the real LSU Fans, what maybe 20,000 to 30,000 is that. The rest are your fair weather fans who really only started liking LSU when LSU started becoming one of the nations elite teams. They are those that are spoiled. Some are just selfish and leave because of their need to go drink. Others are the ones that just cant handle traffic. Its sad that they rarely stay the full game.
My friends say that its sad. They all said the same thing when Les was fired. It is amazing at how other people across the country appreciated him more than our own fans did. But..... I can admit now that he is gone that I really like what Ed Orgeron is doing and I'm a huge fan of Big Ed. This team has a spark. They have a fire. It was kinda in limbo in the 1st half tonight, but damn...the 2nd half was electric. I love my Tigers.

Leaving at half time is sad. Firing Miles isn't.

Run a very quick Google search. It's not only LSU fans. It's happening everywhere. Heck, the NFL is losing TV viewers at a shocking rate.
I suspect the fact that you are just posting this at after 1:00 a.m. means that you, like me, just got home.

Creampuff games have creampuff crowds.

Losers who can't handle their liquor or traffic. Tailgating is more important to some of them. Weenies.

Bama has been having an issue with it as well. The way Fans and observers are watching and being part of the whole gameday experience has dramatically changed since 1995 and more so since the 80s.

Just pulled in. I live in Shreveport. I hate the seats being empty in the third quarter. I wish coach O would call out our fans.

Ok, few reasons why I think the culture of LSU fans have changed over the last decade or so.
1. Les Miles-
With his lame arse offense over the years and his "play to not lose" mentality, fans were more than likely getting bored of the same ol shite. Meaning, when Les Miles got a lead of maybe 2 scores or so, his offense did just enough to win, they never really pushed it hard enough to keep the fans entertained. Not really scoring, showing what the kids can do, showing their talent and proving their hard work on the field. He was essentially holding them back.
2. TGBFTL-
Ever since #1 started happening, the band director probably would lose interest and have nothing to play because the tigers were scoring less, and literally not trying to lose. I believe this is where all the piped in music started happening because the tigers were not scoring more, not getting the band engaged, and more and more "quiet" time in the stadium, which makes sense. Essentially, not the bands fault, but I'm sure people love to watch the tigers, but at the same time don't wanna sit and watch a boring arse prevent defense to stop the other teams offense from scoring enough points just to tie our arse and eventually win.
3. Millenials
I believe the new generation have a "ain't got time for that" attitude when it revolves around traffic and having a good time after the game. Traffic sucks, I can honestly tell you that living in California, BR is a lot better, but its not worse.
I think it has a lot to do with a few of these reasons and I'm sure a little more, but the culture has changed, and I honestly think Coach O has the spark to get tiger fans invested in staying again. For the culture to get back where it was, we first need to realize there is a problem, and the chances of that coming back are probably slim.

Sometimes I don't think the players appreciate the effort it takes to get to campus, park, walk around and be seen, eat, drink, talk to friends then go sit in the stadium.
shite it wears us out. No way I can stay the whole time.

No stadium comes close to emptying out early like Tiger Stadium.
You and others trying to spin this narrative are blind, delusional, or stupid, or some combination of the three.

Not trying to spin the narrative one bit. Yes tiger stadium is certainly worse than others. FSU has a horrendous issue with this too.

Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is dead and has been for years.
LSU now has some of the worst fans in the country.
If you can only get up for Alabama every other year, that is terrible.
The Ole Miss game starts at 8pm next week. Fans will be leaving in the 2nd quarter because they've been drinking all day at the tailgate and want to break it down and pack up so they can make it back to Monroe before sunrise. Stupid. Tailgating is what is killing the game. This isn't a food and drink festival. You have 100 of those a year in Louisiana. It's a football game.
