What's the deal with the Syracuse game?

It's a trip to upstate NY in the early fall in a new environment in a game the Tigers should look very, very good in. It will also either be a bounce back game after a couple of tough opponents or another matchup on television that sends the Tigers headed for the playoff race.

The ACC usually announces game times 12 days before, so 9/14 for this one. They do exercise a 6-day option for certain games, so there's a chance we won't know until 9/20 if our game gets that option.

I've been to Syracuse several times and it can actually be a fun place. Nice campus and, though it's not LSU (or other SEC schools), they do party. Friends up there are expecting LSU to roll them pretty good but as some wise man said - don't underestimate your opponent. Anyone making the trip up should expect a good time. Wish I were going. There are some cool bars around campus and Armory Square. Also have to stop in at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. The place is no joke. Some of the best BBQ you'll eat and an awesome atmosphere. Geaux Tigers!!

I remember watching tennessee at syracuse 1998 or so. The place was rocking- so much in fact the announcer said "the only place louder than this is baton rouge on a saturday night"

I'm excited for the fact it'll probably be the only time I ever see LSU play anywhere up north personally. Only a two hour drive for me. The fall weather is awesome that time of year and Syracuse is a fun city.
