nobody on our board wanted to admit the badger was gone either when the first thread was started..

true

but could you walk at all/mask the severity of a torn acl if that had happened to you? some posters said he was walking around after this happened.

never had a torn acl so i wouldn't know, but i would figure he would at least be limping

I don't know if I've ever heard of someone that had to see Dr. James Andrews for a minor injury.

just seems like it would have been something that everyone would've known about if it was an acl tear

maybe a knee sprain

I'd say waiting to hear facts is hardly delusion, unless you have some inside knowledge..

Saban says out 5-6 days.

Bama players play through pain.

Non story but Saban was "put out" after being questioned about practicing in the rain.

Ankle and knee sprain, nothing more. Message board rumors of an ACL tear were discounted fairly quickly.

Not to worry, the Spirit of Bear Bryant will reach down and heal him.

This. I've torn my ACL and Miniscus at the same time and it hurt for about 4 hrs after the tear, but once the swelling went down it just feels tremendously unstable and wobbly. It kind of felt like I was always standing on a ladder above the sticker that says Do Not Stand Above this Step.

And as we all know, unlike Miles, Saban is always completely honest with the media.

He's been seeing Dr. Andrews as a follow up to his turf toe surgery, and from what I've heard, this visit is part of that. I would assume he'll ask about his knee while he's there, because I think most people would do that. Maybe he'll find something more, maybe not.

Speaking from the bama "perspective" and no inside source, bama is simply "being very careful". You need to read between the lines to really understand what this means.

ACL tears can be vastly different. I've torn both of mine. 1st one was tremendous pain and swelling and I could barely walk. 2nd one I felt the pop and stopped playing for a while and the knee felt "wobbly'. Saw Dr. Bankston 2 weeks later and he said the ACL was torn. I waited 3 months to get the surgery. No problems with everyday life activities or even straight line running. Just no sports. We will know soon about Lacy. If it is an ACL that would be tough for Bama.
