He is probably shopping for his annual Memorial day trip to Destin. He has a house there and typically spends time there every year. I would be working on my tan and getting in quality family time if I were him.

Les Miles would install a screen door on that sub.

That's just the genius.

I hear he's meeting with some offensive guru to learn of this new concept called the forward pass.

Offensive Guru:
"Les, the quarterback throws the ball into the air toward a player on the same team known as a wide receiver."

Les:
"Yes but how do you work the toss dive into this? How can they catch a ball when they're blocking?"

I'm sure he is all smiles. He gets to do nothing and make millions while never having to worry about paying bills again in his life. He's living the dream.

you think so? Years ago, Miles already had all the money he could ever need.

I can't imagine "living the dream" means hanging around BR after getting fired mid-season. I imagine there's a fair amount of embarrassment and boredom going on with him. Sure, having a year off to decompress is probably good, but how long can that be appealing?

Coaches (or any driven or competitive person) doesn't want to "do nothing" and count their money. They want to do. They want to succeed. I'd guess he wants to coach again.

I agree with this.... he has all the money he needs. But that itch is still there to coach.... but he is 63 and may say screw it, but I believe he HAS to be actively looking some some kind of job in the football industry for LSU to continue to pay him....

A few wks ago he made an unexpected (at least the kids were surprised by it) appearance at a football camp in Shreveport sponsored by Jacob Hester. Someone I know from work had a son go to the clinic. They were excited when Les Miles showed up to give them his football "pep talk." Jacob Hester has apparently built an indoor facility for activities like this. I was told a number of college players were also there, but I only remember Devin White and Brandon Harris.

You'd probably find Les's offense down there among the ancient artifacts.

LSU a/o the TAF need to do the right thing - go ahead and give Les a gig. Let him be an ambassador for LSU. Change the narrative to one that says "Les needed to retire, but he was too much of a competitor to do so and The firing actually helped him".

The guy was the head coach for a National Championship at LSU. One of only three men who can make that claim. He always represented LSU with class, and he has been nothing but class since he was fired.

Do the right thing because no one expects it, cause no one every does. Tell the mouth breathers who want to bash him now to shut up. ESPN may make a joke or two, but in the end it will be nothing but a positive for the perception of LSU

He's 63 and not 45. He's making over a hundred grand a month. He's got kids in college playing sports. You really think he wants to start some rebuilding job where he would have to bust his arse rather than being paid by LSU for another six years all because he is a competitive person?

Les will sit back and enjoy life on the LSU tab because of the Alleva buyoff.

Yet he owns the top 4 scoring offenses in LSU history, under different OCs.. Hope Eaux can at least join him in top 5.
