I mean the way some people talk about the this guy is that he will be the savor of LSU football, second coming of Jesus. What happens if he is a complete and utter flop?

Cry myself to sleep every night and twice on Valentine's Day.

Freak Johnson paved the way for us to know how to feel.

Since this thread is shite, let's focus on the keywords in the subject line........bust & flop.

I literally can't even imagine him being a total bust. I don't think it's possible. I think he's got a fast enough first step to work in Arandas 1 gap system. If not, just eat blocks. I'm sure Aranda could work around it. The guy is too big and too strong not to make a difference.

His size and presence means he won't be a complete and total flop. LSU needs beef, and they need depth.
So this is a moot point
So this is a moot point

According to the OL he was a beast in practice two years ago. That tells me all I need to know.

This is so obvious.
There is very, very little to support that Valentine will be a difference maker.

No one is proclaiming him as the second coming of Dorsey. We are all very excited about what his addition means for the depth of an already stacked defense.
No need to shite on otbers' excitement because you want to be edgy.

He is an added bonus to this defense. I don't think miles and company ever expected valentine to ever be back, so we had moved on without him. Whatever he brings at this point is nothing but a bonus.
If he ends up being a complete stud and help anchor the defensive line, that's great. If he ends up just providing some depth and is not a liability when he's on (and off) the field then that's great too.
