Do we need to tighten up the offense or is it just better game planning? Thoughts!!

Game planning. We will be the best team again next year and just like this past season, we can only stop ourselves.

Defense maintains its intensity, Mett adds more balance to the offense, we minimize key injuries and the ball doesn't take any funny bounces in a close game. It's ours for the taking, we just have to take it.

Replacing the option with screens would change the pass/run ratio to damn near 50/50. That alone would be huge imo. Do not turn into Texas Tech. You have 6 absolute stud RBs-don't forget Jeremy Hill. There is no need to abandon the philosophy that got LSU to the title game this year. Screens can be used to attack horizontally the way the option was before.

Locking Les in the broom closet while the offense practices. Stealing his headset during games.

Players need to put in work in the offseason and come out hungry. We saw bama do it in 09. The offensive staff needs to get to work on gameplanning for mettenberger. They need to make sure they set up to play to his strengths. No more qb rotation unless its mop up time or due to injury. Defense is fine, I know we will find a legit cb out of the athletes on this team.

There was really 2 great teams last year. Any other year and we would have dominated one of those teams that obviously don't even practice defense.

Would voters vote a rematch again? Or will we have a plus one? Good chance of 2 sec teams in the top 4 come end of season with the likes of LSU, Bama, Ark, UGA.

We need a receiver to step up, need Mett to make people respect our passing game, and have good linebacker play.

I agree 100%. A more balanced offense is the answer.

What is needed is what we didnt have in the NC game(or what we didnt play), a good qb who can execute a passing game.... that is all we lacked last season.... Mett gives us that.. There wasnt a game planning problem in the NC, we just didnt have a qb in the game who could complete a simple pass and back the defense.
