I'd rather have the Heels at full strength........But Davis needs to get a grip on that program pretty damn quick.

Seems to be just do whatever the hell we want.....kind of attitude

Something just doesn't fit in this scenario.

All the players under said tutelage are moved to scout team until cleared.
Only 4 actually involved in academic infractions and suspended. Maybe something like that?

Also, not sure if this has been discussed yet but their game next week is Georgia Tech.

Well, not next week, because their bye is the 11th, but their next game is against GT on the 18th

"It is likely the review will extend beyond the start of the season," Baddour said at the Thursday press conference. He added that any players involved in the investigation will not play until they are cleared.
The female tutor in question was employed by the university before football coach Butch Davis hired her to work with his high school-aged son, media reports indicate.
"She had been involved in the academic support program, and I'm confident in saying at that time, she was highly regarded," Baddour said in the News & Observer report. He said Davis did not put his players in contact with the tutor.
Practice continues for the Tar Heels in preparation for their opener, and it included a new urgency as the team tried to replace players who will sit until the investigation is complete.

Based on this article it seems pretty cut and dried to me. The players aren't going to play until cleared.

is a vacated win really that big of a punishment?

It is if it happens mid season. Could cost you a bowl appearance.

Vacated win isn't the big stick that UNC is facing if they play players with infractions. Wouldn't there be possible NCAA punishment if they play?

If all the players don't play UNC will surely lose. Playing and having the win taken away doesn't seem such a horrible thing then. NCAA penalties in the form of scholarships etc would be the REAL deterent right? If they don't play then no penalty!!!

Acting career

West began his porn career in 1978, in the film Mystique.[1] In August 1980 he posed as the centerfold model in Playgirl magazine;[1] he was the first person who posed with an erection.[2] Later he also was cast as Robert Redford's body double in the film Indecent Proposal.[1] He has worked with numerous porn actresses early on in their careers, including Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick. He was the first male performer to work with Victoria Paris and Ashlyn Gere.[1] West's sexual performance has been likened to that of a "human pile driver."[3] He has appeared in over 1,300 films, alongside an estimated 2,500 different female co-stars.[1]

This alone will make it very tough for us to win, but I am now back to at least being excited for the game because we do have a shot if this information holds. When it was rumored to be 8-10 players late last week I had gone ahead and blocked the game and season out of my mind as we had no prayer.

I believe, regardless of the suspensions, UNC will still have an excellent shot at winning the game. Unless LSU's offense is completely different than last year's showing, UNC's defense is still very capable of shutting down LSU, backups and all.

Listen, we have 4 big contributors with LSU who are out for the game. Baker - starting LB broken jaw, Allen starting FB kicked off the team. Hatcher starting nickel back knee,# 4 WR toliver with a heavy concussion. Football teams are all about depth of athletes, and we both have a lot of players to bring to Atlanta. I think the Tigers roll regardless of who makes the field for the Heels.

I was very happy to have gotten my bet in before this went off the board due to possible suspensions.

Yep, I didn't get mine in... Oh well. What do you think it'll be when it reopens?
