I think you mean reading. "hearing" requires you to be around other people.

Calling out SFP w/your 3 post, interesting strategy ...

As far as the band's concerned, you could barely hear them, they MAY have had 50 people on the field, and basically there were 2 highlights: band dancing to Thriller (not bad) and the Baton twirler... and if the baton twirler is your most consistent highlight, that ain't good

douchebag

to answer your question SFP, i didnt really have a problem with the tulane band. they were pretty small but i think they made the best of having to perform before the best band in the country.

also they got a pretty good round of applause from the stadium

Well, they were only about 1/5 the size of TGBFTL. When they were playing something during the halftime show and facing the West Sideline, those of us in the North End could not hear anything. It was like they were just going through the motions. Other than that, they were OK.

The thing that pissed me off the most were our classless fans going against their reputation and actually applauding them. They did absolutely nothing with the piss bombs that were handed out in the 2nd quarter.

That happened to me once. Like gas, though, it passed.
I will always dislike the greenies.

I think mostly it was because no one could hear them. But it was pretty cool when the whole band did the Thiller dance.

LSU fans were gracious - they got applause.

FWIW, I didn't realize what I was looking at and I honest to God was wondering why was there a HS band on the field.

Only noteworthy part I saw was the juggling batons.

I'm happy that the LSU fans applauded the Tulane band.

Remembering how heated this rivalry was and seeing what happened to it (Tulane's own doing) is very sad.

Band was quite small and sounded weak...however one the dance team girls had gigantic ta-ta's. Sorry, no picks.

Glad to see Tulane has a band (even though they are small and you cannot really hear them). I remember there were many years in the 80s and 90s when they did not have one at all.

I was glad the fans were nice to the Tulane band too. For what they had, they were pretty good. They used to have a high school band come play their games, so where they are is a huge step up.

For those who thought their band was too quiet, just consider how their playing must echo loudly around the empty Superdome when they play there...
