If you are interested, we have the tallest capital building in the country and it is worth taking a few minutes to visit it and go to the top and get pictures of the river and the city.

What's wrong with the Caterie?

1) Mostly, "what the others said" -- check out the LSU Sports Advisory sticky on The Rant for timelines for when the band will "March Down the Hill" -- 5:15pm, if i remember correctly.
2) You can't go wrong walking the Parade Ground (even though that'll probably be where GameDay is) -- remember these words: "Man!! That smells good. What is it that you're cooking?"
3) If you have a soft shoulder-carry cooler for a 6pack or so, and offer a beer at the same time you ask the above question, I predict you will be fed and watered until you bust.
4) Smile, and be ready to talk football. LSU fans love people who can talk football.
6) Do be there for the pre-game,if Mike the Tiger can be coaxed into his traveling cage, he will make a pre-game visit inside the stadium. There are lots of mascots who go in the stadium, I'm not sure how many have to be caged!!! And the Golden Band from Tigerland's pre-game is not to be missed as well.
7) The Rant sees quite a few visitors asking for advice, and it always enjoys the post-game report. Please let us know what you thought.

If someone is coming on a highlight trip of BR, it just wouldn't be close to making the list IMO.
I don't find it at all important to getting the Baton Rouge experience.
