I see many people saying if Martin or Mickey stay we will be one of the best teams in the nation next year. This is true, but if the light comes on for Odo or Malone, we could be the best team in the nation.

This years team would be a top 15 team if even one of those guys was an average SEC player.

We need better guard play.

We need to stop turning over the ball.

We need Gray to forget where the P Mac is.

I get amused when I read/hear how talented our team is. It isn't loaded with talent. We have two gifted, athletic basketball players in Mickey and Martin. Past that I see average to below average basketball talent. I think Patterson and Hornsby are hard working role players, but neither is really talented as such. Quarterman has average talent but plays hard and effectively much of the time.

I just do not see LSU MBB as a team that is talented.

Odo is a senior this year. We need it to come on for Robinson. Malone is what he is.

compared to the rest of the SEC, we're likely top 2-3 in talent.

We need to learn out to inbound the basketball. It's sad to see how horible this team is at inbounding the ball from the baseline or the sideline. It's damn near the end of the season and we still have to throw the ball 3/4 of the court to get the ball in bounds.

If quarterman has average talent then you've never watched another basketball game outside LSU. Laughable

Dude is 6'6 or 6'6 with good ball handling and passing vision. Shot has come a long way in one year. Plays good defense and is really long. Yea average talent

they need to stop losing to teams they are not supposed too! A loss tonight would officially end any chance of an NCAA tournament bid. This team needs to grow up and stop acting like they can take teams lightly! Show up and play basketball. That is what they need!

I think the time has passed for the light to turn on for Odo considering he's a senior and hardly plays.

Darcy will never be an offensive threat in America.

- Vaguely competent halfcourt offense
- Vastly improved shot selection
- A coach not deathly-afraid of timeouts

If we had these three things, we would be a lock for the tourney right now IMHO.

Stop stupid turnovers, don't go for 3 pointers from the mid-court with 30 seconds on the shot clock i.e. improve your basketball IQ.

Two words for Tim Quarterman: Rosetta Stone. He'll be a back-up player for a few years in Europe.

LSUSLU: I watch at least 1 cbb game per night most nights. At least one. It is my favorite sport. And I have seen TQ play every home game he's played at LSU last season and this season.

The fact that we can't inbound the ball is insane.

TQ is an average basketball player right now. In 2 years he will be special, but there is no way a guy who averages 12 points, 3 asts, and almost that many turnovers is special.

Also, ppl need to watch more college basketball, 70% of plays out of inbounds these days go out deep

That's were I think people miss the boat here. Is LSU as talented top to bottom as Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC? Of course not. Are they as talented as anyone not named UK in the SEC? Absolutely. That's why the conference results are maddening

Sure, things might be better if X.Y.Z. were better players. Every team could say that. The fact is that this team could be much better if there were simply more emphasis on the little things that make a huge difference in winning or losing basketball games.

The amount of turnovers per game is ridiculous. Many of the turnovers are attributable to nothing more than unforced errors and lack of valuing possession of the basketball.

Jones still refuses to use TOs to kill an opponent's run before it balloons to a big number. I understand letting teams play through adversity early on in the non-conf schedule. However it is unacceptable to do so in game 26 which also happens to be a huge conference game (i.e. the 12-0 run he let balloon out of control against A&M)

The situational awareness is completely lacking from top (the HC) to bottom. It's unbelievable that LSU was still trying to push the ball and take quick shots with a large lead in the final minutes against UF. It took the lead being trimmed down to 7 with 2 minutes to play for Jones to even consider telling his team to use some clock even though UF was willing to allow LSU to run the shot clock with a 13 point lead. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if they hadn't done the same things against UT with a big lead, UGA in the 2nd OT, or even fricken Gardner-Webb in the first game.

That's just a few. It's the small plays/decisions that this team struggles with and there is absolutely no emphasis from the coaching staff to correct them. Otherwise we wouldn't see the same problems occur over, and over, and over again.

No one has been able to soundly beat this team in spite of those same issues constantly showing up. Just a little more attention to detail and this could easily be a 23-4 ranked team fighting for potentially an SEC crown and a great seed in the NCAAT vs. a 19-8 team in position where they could possibly finish just .500 in conference play and miss out on the NCAAT yet again.

We need a "Jason Kidd" and it would be on.

Did I ever say he was special? I said he was very talented. You're a fool if you think otherwise
