it means he is going back home from baton rouge and doesn't want to leave but he will be back in the fall

People who are saying he was on a short leash & did not get enough of a chance are obviously forgetting that CPM saw him everday at practice. I am sure he got as many at bats in practice as the next guy. He just was not consistent & played a position that had better producers ahead of him & were just as good defensively. But on a more serious note, one reason for him staying is that he supposedly has coeds lined up around his apt waiting for their chance to "produce".

Good point. I hear there are zero cleat chasers in minor leagues.

Nah, Foster is the prototype Right Fielder.

Foster started out slow, was benched, and never given a real opportunity to break out of his slump
We always hear this crap from people who apparently don't realize the team actually practices. In these practices the coaches probably get the opportunity to see Foster bat. If he doesn't show anything in practice they would be fools to put him in a game. Same goes for pitchers. And the same goes for football, BTW. You always see people complaining that Rivers/Rettig/Bolden never got a chance. Yes, they did - in practice. They looked like shite, so the coaches, thankfully, spared us the horror of seeing them in a real game.

Some of these threads the past few days have been so dumb but I can't help myself.

I don't know what to do with my hands.

He's already on a ledge, I don't want him to jump in a jealous rage.

The only problem with your theory is he did have great practices! It's all about his favorites. Ask anybody that plays on the team.
He is not coming back because he will get drafted in the top 10 rounds. The coaches on his new team will scratch there heads and wonder why this kid was not an every day starter. In three years he will be called up.
