He's got the tools and, his body of work is incredible except for this year at the plate. In his defense its hard to work out of a slump when you get one or two plate appearances a week. One of the best arms I have seen in a while and ever other tool that they like in the MLB.

Similar to Johnny Dishon, who was drafted and left early but was never a starter.

We will see I think you will be surprised. He's had 17 teams talking to him, and they all understand how PM is with certain players.

It's possible since he looks like a baseball player, has a strong arm, and there's 1,000 rounds.

He started the first two weeks of the season and wasn't batting his weight.

Its called a slump! It's baseball.... Bregman had a worse slump this year, but got every opportunity to work his way out of it Foster didn't. Foster has always been on a short leash with CM like Tyler Moore. He has his pets and his whipping boys.

I can see him being drafted. He's an above average outfielder.

The obvious tanking by the Astros last year with the vision to somehow acquire Mr. Foster should not go unnoticed. I think we will see a revolution in the MLB draft to a lottery-style setup to prevent this from happening in the future..

You never know under the current system. If he's made it known to teams he is leaving while willing to sign for peanuts, and they were willing to take a flier on him later anyway, he could go much earlier than expected so the team can save money. We probably have several juniors in the same situation.

He has no reason to stay at LSU. CPM plays favorites

like others have said Foster started out slow, was benched, and never given a real opportunity to break out of his slump. it's very difficult to gain any sort of consistency at the plate without playing consistently. he's made it pretty clear from past performance, however, that he is a very capable baseball player. he's arguably the best athlete on the team and has all the tools a professional team would want out of an outfielder. i wouldn't blame him for leaving early at all.

Agree about CPM, but he started the season in RF and batting 4th and didnt produce. Would you have sat Fraley to give Foster another shot?

Also, Bregman slumped against SEC pitching, Foster slumped against UNO and Grambling pitching.
