Toliver is my pick this kid is a rare type player at db you seldom hear his name called at all, he just sits on his island an devours his prey!! Footnote: I been hard on D.Thomas all season but the play he made in the end zone is a play I think we will look back on as a pivotal play on our way too a NC. Season!

Mills coming back will allow him to roam the field more.

that is a good question because they are all pretty good and they have all screwed up at one time or another. When they screw up it seems to be busted coverage due to missed communications. I do agree that Toliver is doing well but he has been beat a couple of times and he has been whistled for PI a couple of times - the Syracuse game comes to mind. I feel like most of these issues have been getting less as the season has progressed.

I 2nd this nomination! We get our secondary figured out on assignments and get Mills back in the mix w our defensive front playing as well as they are and this could be another special season..... Offense and Defense are getting better and better.....

Same thing happened to Eric Reid. These guys reach all american status when they have another good safety playing with them allowing them to ball hawk and head hunt

Taylor was very underrated as a contributor to that secondary...

T.White
Tolliver
Adams
Jefferson
Thomas

In that order.
The safetys are having a very rough year in coverage. Idk if its the scheme or if they just cant lock up.

Toliver has been most impressive just because it is his freshman year. I remember seeing Toliver get his head around in some of these recent games which impresses me.

Tre'davious white is second, but D'runyah wilson had his way with him.

Toliver still doesnt cover as well as treWhite right now. I saw a few passes at the florida game where toliver isnt aware of where the ball is.

Not talking bad on the true freshman by any means^

Toliver has played very well, considering that he's a true freshman. He had a rough time against UF, but that was bound to happen at some point. He's going to be a spectacular CB down the road.

White is still the top dog. I know Wilson gave him a tough time, but that was a very difficult matchup. He had a few inches and several pounds on white. He's also a very experienced receiver, and knows how to go get the ball and use his body to shield off defenders. Here's what I do know about that match up- when we needed a big stop on that last drive, after getting physically manhandled for an entire quarter, White made the play. Your top guy shows up when you need him.

Adams is a mystery.
Started the season as a star in opening game.
Then, he faded....

White and Toliver are 1st rounders with Toliver going top 10. It's a damn shame RR is not on the team.

what?

8 catches for 86yards is "having your way" with a CB? Get real. And considering Wilson is probably the biggest freak in terms of size + athleticism (6'5 220lbs and can run with a basketball background) that we will face all year and that he had at least 16targets vs us, he most certainly did not "have his way with White".

White actually dominated the battle for 3 and a half quarters. Wilson got most of his stats on the final 2 drives of the game, where our entire D was gassed because our O was going 3 and out very quickly. White was especially gassed due to his assignment, shadowing Wilson for the entire game. And he still came up with the biggest play of the game.

At worst, it was an even battle. Wilson most certainly did not "have his way" with Tre White. At all. And White was the better player for 3 and a half quarters, Wilson got his late in the game.
