Regarding Edwards: It was not a smart move, and he faced lots of heat. He did win his re-election but that was a one time budget battle which was resolved pretty quickly, the budget issue was resolved pretty quickly.
Threatening scholarships has a much higher potential to negatively impact LSU beyond 1 budget cycle.

ESPN, LAT, WAPO, et al set LSU up with the National Anthem to silence the criticism from their previous attacks on CKM.

Landry is grandstanding and didn’t get his facts. He is a a USL supporter who knows nothing about LSU. He is creating an unnecesssary distraction which is embarrassing. Threats to take scholarships effects LSU.

I can barely visit my grandmother in Shreveport without taking my life in my hands. Public schools are a joke. Fricking hurricane damage from 2020 still ain't been fixed. My homeowners insurance is outrageous.

I’m a conservative patriot, but many times, too many conservative leaders do knee jerk things without taking time to evaluate exactly what took place.
Instead of immediately coming out with a lame statement, he should have talked to Mulkey herself. Then, once he found out it wasn’t some planned protest action, he could have treated it like the nothing burger it is.
