I know LSU has not won any titles since 2011 but some posters use the word "decline" as if they know the team can not improve. If that is the case, what is the reason that teams like Michigan, Fla, Texas, USC,... should play football again? Yes, there has been setbacks and it is time to improve. Frankly, when I see posters talk about "the decline" I wonder why they get up the next day when they face adversity in their life. What happened in the past 3 years could have nothing to do with next 5 years if improvements are done.

In SEC play

2011: 8-0
2012: 6-2
2013: 5-3
2015: 4-4

It depends on your definition of decline. Has LSU's record declined, yes. Is the program dead, no. Are there some crucial decisions that have to be made, yes.

So the notion that LSU is dead is pretty ridiculous but they do need to improve in a few areas to return back to the top of the conference/nation.

Typical Les hater. We were 9-0 in 2011. But I guess you can't give Les credit for anything.

Exactly, I am talking about those who think because LSU has not done well in the past 3 year they will not do well in the next 5 years or so.

2012 10-3, 6-2, #14, 2nd in SEC West
2013 10-3, 5-3, #14, 3rd in SEC West
2014 8-5, 4-4, #?, 5th in SEC West

This is a decline and what people are talking about when they use the term. We have been on a steady decline since 1/9. Hopefully it will be reversed next year.

If we in fact have the number 4 program in the nation based on talent and salaries wouldn't it be nice to finish higher than 4th in our division?

Well, I agree with the decline part. Based purely on results, we aren't where we were in 2010-2011.

I was referring to those who project bad results into the future not what happened in the last 3 years.

I see us going down this path if things don't change next year.

Mack brown ran that program into the ground. If we flop next year chop the head and that means les. Remember mack brown was an excellent recruiter also. He like les got by at first with superior talent but didn't change his coaching style and begin to flounder. After a couple average seasons the top recruits stop coming then began the downward spiral. Losing seasons. Now they are trying to become revelant again but the Texas brand isn't the same. Hopefully LSU doesn't fall victim to the Texas collapse also.

Don't change my kiss.

You don't think teams will stack the box like a mofo for buga next year. Go ahead LSU we got one safety back go ahead and try and pass it we will let you.
