Street ball gives you to the sweet 16. So strong arse offers. Squeaky clean losers get you in the NIT after two years at the helm

Bruce Pearl had a losing record at Auburn, SEC and overall, his first three years. Same for Rick Barnes his first two.

Terrible hires, the both of them am I right?

Additionally, McMahon managed to go 30-3 his final year at Murry State and advanced to the second round of the NCAA, this without having Morant playing for the team.

Has Will Wade ever coached a team in the NCAA tournament past the second round?

It would be very funny if Will Wade went to an SEC school to see how big of a pretzel some LSU fans are put in.

I have a feeling we would lose some LSU fans.

Yeah Wade did a great job. Two very different scenarios. It’s pretty clear. Nobody is saying they are happy with regularly finishing at .500. People give pushback when others fail to recognize any improvement.

So by your argument Tony Benford is a better coach than both McMahon and Wade?

4. That sick inbounds play the McMen are so proud of
5. Street Ball(playing in Big Dance, Xs & Os not)
6. Playing in NIT(not in tournament) after 8 higher rated teams declined invitations.
7. Legal to make strong arse offers now, only thing is elite talent doesn’t even listen.

With how many speak of McNeese and Wade on this board you'd think they'd be the favorites.

The talking head "experts" on CBS all are picking McNeese to win. Noted "Wade teams are well coached and play hard".

Not arguing that at all.

I referenced two coaches who are held in high regard and the struggles they had at the beginning of their SEC tenures.

And yes, I also referenced Wade's tournament success which is no better than McMahon's.

Point being, there's a lot of Knee jerk reactions going on in here.

It is, but Wade was suspended at the time and did not coach a game in the tournament.

But again Dave, that was'nt my point.

Some people still don’t understand that coaching is more than drawing up a play on a whiteboard.

So what is your point? You aren't making any sense. Who do you credit with leading our team to the Sweet 16 that year, because you just said you don't think Benford is better than Wade and McMahon but you also aren't giving Wade credit for coaching a Sweet 16 team.
